The Role:
Organisational Context & Job Purpose
Assist with delivery of all accounting, controlling, budgeting and other financial services for the sites whilst also ensuring the site results are reported in an accurate and timely fashion and meet international accounting standards.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

* Assist in delivering full accounting, controlling and financial services to the site business, meeting all business requirements for both scope and quality.

* Assist in delivering monthly business performance reporting for the site to the required standard in accordance with a strict Group timetable. This should be designed to aid management in identifying opportunities for improvement and making sound business decisions.

* Maintain a robust forward forecasting process for the site EBITDA and cash flow which highlights key business issues including the impact of exchange and ongoing changes in market conditions.

* Ensure that the site internal reporting reconciles with the HYPERION Group reporting tool and resolve any reporting issues.

* Work with the site controller and site management team to collate and prepare the annual budget for the site ensuring that it conforms to the overriding principles as set out and in doing so meet the requirements imposed by Group.

* Promote effective cost management amongst budget holders and decision makers, providing support and advice on the financial implications of all business activity; make recommendations to improve performance and provide coaching and guidance to key decision makers to optimise financial performance.

* Ensure the financial integrity of the site's SAP system. Ensure a robust system of internal controls including SAP authorisation profiles.

* Consolidate the weekly cashflow for submission to the and Group.

* Provide working capital commentary for forecasting.

* Responsible for issuing the Asia monthly reports and budgets, to the required standard in accordance with a strict Group timetable.

* Work with other functions to provide information, share knowledge and understanding of data as and when required.

* Build and maintain good working relationships with key suppliers and organisations including external auditors, taxation authorities, insurers and bankers.

* Main point of contact for the external auditors and prepare the financial statements.

* Prepare information to the Group Tax team when required.

* Any other finance duties as they arise.

Skills & Knowledge Required
Education/Experience

* University degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.

* Professional qualification - ACA, CIMA or similar.

* Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in accounting and finance with a proven track record for delivery.


Technical skills
* Requires a thorough understanding of legislative requirements in the UK.

* A high level of technical accounting knowledge is required of both UK GAAP and IFRS.

* Excellent oral and written communication and analytical skills.

* Budgeting and cost control.

* Well-developed PC skills, especially with Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with SAP and Hyperion systems is a plus.

Behavioural skills

* Proactive and have strong interpersonal skills to resolve issues and present information effectively and persuasively to other people both internally and externally.

* Able to work efficiently and accurately to ensure that tight deadlines and high standards are met. This will involve good time management and organisational skills.

* Flexible and adaptable in order to meet the changing demands of Group.

* Able to think analytically and strategically to review and constantly improve the financial reporting and treasury procedures.
