The Role:
Due to promotion and as our client continues to grow, improve and expand, we are looking for a dedicated, problem solving, idea generating and delivering, Mechanical Engineer to join our SCP engineering and maintenance team.
You'll complete a range of hands on responsibilities to support the SCP team in providing professional engineering support to SCP and our customers, ensuring asset integrity and reliability is maintained and thereby consistently delivering customer requirements and the maintenance operating plan. You'll also deliver projects and improvements meeting operational requirements and KPI's.

Amongst other responsibilities you'll contribute to are:
* Implementing & maintaining maintenance systems, documents, strategies, projects and processes.
* Leading and managing assigned personnel to maximise their performance.
* Guidance & hands on support for shutdowns, unplanned/planned events, mods & improvements.
* Managing hazardous area inspection systems including inspection organisation and action close out.
* Leading and managing the relationship between our client and competent authorities.
* Implementing, maintaining & providing continuous improvement of workflow processes.

Minimum Requirements:
* HNC in mechanical engineering discipline. Or equivalent qualification.
* Relevant 24/7 process, chemical, energy or manufacturing industry experience, in mechanical engineering to complete job role responsibilities.
* Operations interface and working with and to Operational policies & procedure.
* Legislative, best practice standards & insurance compliance in mechanical engineering including PSSR, LOLER, PUWER regulations.
* People management: workload/flow, objectives, motivation, development and performance.
* Developing, implementing & evaluating improvements & mods.
* Overhaul planning & co-ordination
* Maintenance management systems.
* Microsoft Office packages: word & excel & email. Outlook
