The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a integrated infrastructure solutions business in Beckton, East London.
Working alongside an operational shift team, the Operations Plant Assistant is responsible for supporting the safe, efficient operation of the Beckton CHiP primarily through managing safe and effective road tanker movements at the Plant and ensuring appropriate testing and discharge of fuels, whilst supporting the wider operational shift teams with tasks ranging from Plant starts ups to spares management.

Duties:
Contribute to the safe, environmentally compliant operations of the Beckton CHiP plant.
Set up, prepare, sample, complete and co-ordinate the tanker off-loading to support full plant operations. Anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Follow Operational policies & procedures to complete assigned routines, process sampling, planned and unplanned plant projects, outages, start-ups/shut downs and other responsibilities as required by plant operating conditions.
Support Operations Technicians and other Beckton CHiP team members in completing duties to maximise plant availability and reliability.
Contribute to achieving a safe and tidy site, carrying out general housekeeping and cleaning duties.
Support site activities with use of the forklift truck, jet washing and MEWP access where possible.
Act as banksman to ensure safe vehicle movements on the CHiP plant.
Support the receipt and control of the site strategic spares.
