The Role:
Exciting opportunity to join a mutli-disciplinary Operations team as a Plant Assistant on a staff basis. You will be supporting safe and efficient plant operations by co-ordinating tanker movements, completing fuel testing and discharge and supporting others in a range of responsibilities as detailed below:
- Contribute to the safe, environmentally compliant operations of the site CHiP plant working together with contractors, owners, clients and visitors to the site.
- Set up, prepare, sample, complete and co-ordinate the tanker off-loading to support full plant operations.
- Anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Follow Operational policies & procedures to complete assigned routines, process sampling, planned and unplanned plant projects, outages, start-ups/shut downs and other responsibilities as required by plant operating conditions, to required targets, standards and goals.
- Support Operations Technicians and other site CHiP team members in completing duties to maximise
plant availability and reliability. - Complete assigned environmental responsibilities to maintain plant compliance.
- Take receipt of and store appropriately plant deliveries - parts, chemicals and consumables.
- Maintain a safe, clean and ordered working environment within the laboratory enabling all tasks to be completed within required standards.
- Contribute to achieving a safe and tidy site, completing general housekeeping and cleaning duties, reporting SHE concerns, taking part in behavioural safety engagements and setting and delivering a positive SHE approach in line with company and legislative standards.
- Support site activities with use of the forklift truck, jet washing and MEWP access where possible.
- Complete assigned banksman responsibilities to ensure safe vehicle movements on the CHiP plant.
- Support the receipt and control of the site strategic spares.
- Complete required training to develop and maintain own competence in relation to responsibilities.
- Contribute to and as appropriate action agreed plant system, process and practice improvement activities.
- Positively present the role and complete the responsibilities of a Plant Assistant.
- Waste Control Officer adhering to ISO 14001 Regulations

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
