The Role:
To be successful in this role, you're able to develop positive working relationships and enjoy working with others to achieve results. You're also able to adapt, contribute and work effectively as we continue to develop and optimise the plant.
Your role will be vital to the successful operation of the biomass energy facility. As Shift Controller you will be flexible, willing to work a shift pattern and performing operations functions associated with all main and auxiliary plant at Biomass to enable it to meet the generation and availability targets safely, efficiently and in an environmentally sensitive manner.
To do this you'll be supported in delivering your responsibilities with personalised on the job training and coaching and twice yearly development and performance review to help develop, maintain and improve your contributions and competence

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Qualified to ONC level (or equivalent) in an appropriate Engineering/process discipline.
* Sound understanding of process flow
* Detailed knowledge of plant and maintenance systems and their functionality, especially computer based
* Experience using cross craft skills or equivalent
* Leader/member of the team with experience of safe working procedures including permit to work and promoting an excellent safety culture
* Excellent eye for details
* Good numeracy skills, including the ability to interpret basic spreadsheets
* Capable of carrying out inspections, audits, risk assessments and investigating events and accidents
* Able to drive FLT/FEL (or to be trained)
* Working knowledge of pressure system regulation preferred
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with colleagues, contractors and suppliers
* Analytical ability and enthusiastic and competent problem solver with a practical approach to solving process problems
* Self-motiv
