The Role:
Principal Contracts and Procurement

Our client is currently seeking a dynamic team leader to join their Contracts and Procurements team. Providing functional expertise, mentoring, coaching and guidance to the Projects Commercial team, this role will be responsible for:

* Contract management with a key focus on strategic, complex construction and engineering contracts
* Conducting contract variations, including updating or expanding scopes of services and schedules of materials
* Developing and implementing advanced commercial techniques to leverage value creation opportunities
* Apply sound commercial judgement around application of contractual terms and conditions
* Influence the selection of various project delivery models throughout the project phases
* Maintain relationships with key stakeholders to become a highly valued contract expert
* Provide contract management support to project teams throughout the contract life-cycle
* Mentor and provide guidance to others in your team, while engaging in high level strategic planning for the business

To be considered for this opportunity, you will have relevant industry experience working on major projects (resources/construction/ oil & gas sec.
Relevant qualifications (Law, Quantity Surveying, Engineering)
Have a flexible approach and foster a culture of developing a high performing team
