The process engineer is working closely together with technology, operations, inspection, business and the project organization. He or she performs a key role in providing support for the production units, giving assurance on the Management of Change process and developing and implementing projects.
The WBDA process engineer role will perform various work to support the WBDA project of the company's refinery:
* Participate in process engineering definition at front end of WBDA project
* Support WBDA Project development in liaison with contractors
* Provide process engineering support for other technical departments, e.g.: Inspection, Mechanical , etc
* Update process engineering flow scheme/ process safeguarding scheme/ process and contributing to as-built documentation of WBDA project
* Assist and walk the engineering contractor through in development of Fluid Analysis Report
* Perform quality assurance and ensure consistencies between various engineering documents required for WBDA classification
Qualifications:
Chemical engineering education, academic thinking and working level with experience in the industry, preferably obtained while working at engineering contractors in process engineering or process safety design. Experience minimum 5 years. Good knowledge of process engineering in general.
The candidate for this process engineer role is expected to:

* Independent, be proactive and able to find his/her way in a complex refinery environment, working closely with Operations, Maintenance, Inspection and the other Engineering disciplines to ensure thorough and complete communication of process issues at hand
* Taking the lead when necessary to facilitate problem resolution Ensure Process Engineering activities are conducted fully in line with the Company Group and governmental regulations
* Have good working knowledge in both English and Dutch and fluent in one of those
* Have strong communication skills, team player, as well as the ability to cooperate and provide guidance for external parties (clients, Engineering contractors, etc.)
* Knowledgeable in development of process engineering documents such as PFD, P&ID and process safeguarding flow scheme
* "VCA-vol" qualification is a requirement before starting activities, in view of necessity to do site visits
* Having comprehended knowledge of applicable codes and standards (API/RTOD/ASME/PED/WBDA) in the petrochemical industry, knowledge specifically with the company's internal standard DEP would be an advantage.
* Possesses the basic process engineering skills such as equipment design, design condition determination, process modes, hydraulic calculation , etc.
* Able to review the quality and completeness engineering documents. Proficient and flexible with IT systems and software
* Prior process engineering/ process system experience in a local (Dutch) project is an advantage
