The Role:
To provide technical support, guidance and engineering solutions with respect to products and services.
Administer policies for control of design and specification for the manufacture of products; to meet customer requirements, company engineering standards and business best practices.

Represent the Services Engineering group in customer meetings, plant management and regional management meetings.
To provide day to day technical support and guidance to services / operational team whilst carrying out their duties in providing onshore, offshore and plant engineering support.
Ensure that resources are consistently maintained & utilized. Plan, assign and balance work load to ensure effective utilization of resources.

Responsibilities
* Conduct work safely and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and facility work instructions. Proactively participate in HSE standard and initiatives
* Provide technical support for offshore Engineering/service personnel and assistance with resolving FPRs, technical problems and field troubleshooting issues.
* Support regional, local and global initiatives to improve product quality and operational reliability through value added engineering practices.
* Maintain technical competence system.
* Participate in controls product group design reviews, supporting life of field manager to identify scope change.
* Liaises with product group and provide feedback operational, design improvement associated with offshore operation and commission activates to drive product continuous improvement.
* Provide technical guidance to Services personnel regarding all technical aspects of work including providing of information and guidance relating to product offerings, systems engineering and Services engineering.
* Liaise and work alongside the necessary commercial personnel to agree workload priorities, deliverables, reporting requirements and timelines.
* Monitor / Maintain resource plan to ensure effective execution of workload and achieve on-time delivery and allow cost monitoring/control.
* Consult with and advise Manufacturing, Purchasing, Suppliers and Quality Departments as necessary.
* Provide technical support to facility on disposition of product, support planning and manufacturing activates to ensure product and equipment on-time delivery is met.
* Attend production meetings and provide constructive feedback on process improvement and equipment related issues.
* Work closely with tendering team to identify equipment scope of supplies, for offshore, commission / installation activates.
* Maintain rental equipment packages, and ensure tooling modifications are made in line with latest industry standards and practices.
* Support purchasing department on technical procurement activates and disposition of material deviation request (NCR's)
* Actively participate in mentoring activities to drive product knowledge workshop training and product tutorials.
* Participate in FAT, EFAT & SIT's in conjunction with the project team for pre-operational planning. Provide on-shore and off-shore technical support for equipment diagnostics and maintain operational and installation procedures.
* Willingness to travel offshore to support commissioning and installation activates.
* Attend weekly client meetings,

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Education in mechanical engineering (Bachelor's degree or Associate Diploma from an accredited university). Previous experience in an engineering role in the oil field business or associated industry. Awareness of national and international rules and regulations applicable to oilfield tools and production equipment.
* Good working knowledge in AutoCAD, Inventor, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Previous experience with SAP / product lifecycle management tools desirable.
* Proven leadership ability, effective written and verbal communication skills and a strong team player.
* Competent technical speaker and presenter, able to prepare quality materials and formerly present to customers on technical topics.
* Technically competent - able to apply sound engineering principles to complex problems to determine root cause and failure modes. Employ sound analytical tools in support of engineering investigation and determine corrective action in an efficient and timely manner.
