The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a leading, global Oil & Gas company. This company is servicing some of Australia's largest LNG projects at present and has an active and expanding project portfolio . A rare Permanent, staff position has become available for a driven Engineer to join an established project team, this role will be reporting directly to the Plant Operations Manager. In this position you will support the Co-ordination of quality activities by ensuring client requirements are clearly understood, communicated and captured in operations to deliver agreements. This role also supports and co-ordinates some the quality activities on the shop floor to deliver agreed services and equipment to various Oil & Gas customers. Additionally you will provide quality engineering support for process breakdowns and product quality failures within a timely manner to enable the delivery timeframes committed by operations.

Main responsibilities include but will not be limited to:
o Provides effective inspection technique supports to the inspectors to ensure compliance with specifications.
o To ensure that non-conformances and other quality problems are reported timely & tracked to closure prior to shipment of any product
o Ensure Testing and Measuring Equipment used is within current calibration
o Advise and exchanges information with all personnel on methods of resolving measurement problems.
o Coordinate and develop ITPs
o To propose and develop continuous improvement projects
o Perform OTJ inspection training with the inspection team when required
o Interpret and understand Product Requirements and proactively liaise with engineering, operations and inspection to obtain timely solutions to process and product breakdowns
o Assist with maintaining departmental & corporate metrics
o Assist with QMAT & DNV Audit hosting & Management Review preparations
o Assist with maintaining ISO certification
o Be focal point for FPR process & monthly calls with Leeds
o Oversee CPAR & NCR process with a review to constantly chasing down to closure
o Update procedures & work instructions in line with BPM changes
o Conduct Supplier Audits, maintain supplier relationships & maintain SAP AVL
o Trouble shoot & follow up on vendor supply issues
o Be main point of contact to own welding approvals WPQR/WPS process & liaise with Houston Welding Group
o Raise QIR's based on vendor capability to allow purchases to be made
o Extend parts to plant from a Maintain Quality Views perspective in workflow

The Company:
Our client is a global leader in engineering, design and manufacturing of pressure control and flow technologies for the oil and gas industry. Our client works on both onshore, offshore and subsea projects in some of the most remote locations in the world. Their interests in Australia are with offshore, onshore and subsea aspects on mega-LNG and oil projects.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Diploma in an Engineering discipline, preferably in Mechanical/Quality Engineering
* Preferred minimum of 1 year Supervisory experience
* Preferred minimum of 2 years experience in NDE activities.
* Preferred minimum of 5 - 7 years related industry experience in Quality
* Experience in the development and implementation inspection procedures
* Proven skills in Quality improvement techniques (six sigma, Lead Auditor)
* Experience with industry standards (ISO 9001, API Q1, 6A, 17D, NATA).

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Knowledge in the development of Quality Plans and product related ITPs
* Computer literate and familiar with the following: MS Office, MS Visio, MS Outlook
* Demonstrate methodical and accurate work practices, combined with effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to communicate and interface with company personnel, suppliers, clients and client representatives
* The ability to generate concise detailed technical reports
* Proficiency in English (in both written and oral skills).
* Familiarisation and knowledge of Aftermarket Activities
* Team building skills & understanding diversity
