The Role:
We are currently recruiting experienced Field Service Specialist - Surface, to work on a 12 months contract, it may lead into an on going permanent opportunity for the right candidate. The role includes to install or Repair Company products such as wellheads, Christmas trees and controls systems (Surface) . Advise customers on repair and replacement options. Examine, repair, test and maintain products at customer sites or service centres. Be a liaison between Company onshore and customers during installation. Troubleshoot equipment during installation if any problems arise. Contribute to section and department policy and procedure formulation, alteration, deployment and planning.

Roles and Responsibilities

* Direct the installation or servicing task to ensure a safe and efficient operation
* Investigate and diagnose any deficiency which may impede the efficient installation and act to correct the situation
* Provide the customers representative with sufficient information and guidance to ensure the correct task completion
* Assist with training and competence development of personnel as required both onshore and offshore
* Report faults or areas of improvement which will ensure continued product development
* Assembly and testing onshore and offshore, (including recording of test results)
* Complete Service reports, SQ's, FPR's, EWR, EOWR, and other administrative duties associated with the department or project
* General duties associated with the Service task and engineering task

Our client is a global leader in engineering, design and manufacturing of pressure control and flow technologies for the oil and gas industry. Our client works on both onshore, offshore and subsea projects in some of the most remote locations in the world. Their interests in Australia are with offshore, onshore and subsea aspects on mega-LNG and oil projects.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Circa 3 years' experience working as a Field Service Technician
* Mechanical or trade qualification
* Confident communicator with a customer focus
* Strong problem solving skills
* Knowledge & experience operating, maintaining & rebuilding Gate Valves
* Able to participate in the installation / removal operations of equipment to ensure a safe and efficient operation
* Ability to read Drawings & Procedures
* Experience in assembly and testing offshore, (including recording of test results)

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Ability to multi-task, balancing daily activities with project related activities.
Demonstrates above average analytical and problem solving skills.
Results orientated. Must be self-starter and completes assigned task on time.
Good interpersonal skills with ability to interface with various departments.
Basic computer skills.
