The Role:
We are currently recruiting for an onshore Mechanical Technician/Mechanical Fitter based residential in Darwin working within our client's workshop.

The position requires someone who has extensive experience of flange management including flanging, bolting, torqueing and tensioning and a good working knowledge of valves.

It is a 6 months fixed term contract to start with and may lead into an on-going full time opportunity for the successful candidate, offering standard 38-40 hours per week.

To be considered, you will meet the following qualifications and educational requirements:

* Mechanical Trade Qualification
* Minimum 3 years' relevant experience preferably in the Oil and Gas Industry.
* Understanding of lathes and machines
* General valve experience
* Offshore tickets and certifications preferred

Successful candidate may also be required to complete pre-employment medical assessments, drug and alcohol screening and national police checks to meet client requirements.
