The Role:
The Production Planner is responsible for planning production and ensuring the smooth running of the production process within the companies Subsea Aftermarket facility. This includes creating the schedule of work which is agreed with the Operations Supervisor.

The schedule contains details of stages of goods repair including the stripping, cleaning, inspecting, disposition, procuring and repairing of tools and equipment.

Responsibilities include:
* Ensure visibility of work shop plan one month in advance based on the Capacity Plan and priorities provided with the key emphasis being on time delivery
* Ensure availability of work packs for the work shop one week in advance
* Follow up with purchasing for the status of procured items outstanding on open work orders
* Rescheduling of work dependent on parts and picking issues, including updating of WO / SO dates in SAP
* Address and communicate to relative parties any issues arising that impact on the delivery schedule
* Monitor progress of work through production to ensure delivery dates are met and ensure tracking of work order / service order status is available and kept current
* Communicate priorities for QC Inspection to ensure adherence to delivery schedule of tools and equipment
* Update Project Coordinators on progress of work flow through production to completion
* Report of work packs ready for TECO to be submitted weekly to MPS for authorization to complete SAP TECO transaction
* Weekly reporting and analysis on overall work / service order status (WIP inactivity)
* Weekly reporting and analysis of planned vs actual output for the work shop
* Maintains the work shop status boards
* Run morning production update meetings and distributes action tracker
* Perform special assignments or duties as may be requested by management

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
* Previous planning experience is required within a manufacturing/engineering/ project management environment
* Experience in MS Project, Office and SAP or other ERP System
Preferred Skills:
* Knowledge and understanding of an MRP system within a manufacturing environment
* The ability to influence others that are not a direct report
* The ability to work well within a team environment
* The ability to prioritise work and time management skills to be able to deliver goods within the required timeframe within a busy working environment
* The ability to understand critical path lead time on 3-12 month projects
