The Role:
We are looking for an experienced QC Inspector to join a leading, global Oil & Gas company. This organisation has an active and expanding project portfolio which has lead to the release of this rare Permanent, staff position. An exciting opportunity has become available for a driven QC Inspection professional to join an established project team, this role will support the valves and measurement operations business by ensuring products and services are delivered right first time to customers.

Key responsibilities include but will not be limited to:
Provide inspection and verification services to the operation team to ensure that product and services fulfil and comply with requirements prior to release to the next process and or customer.
Provide quality leadership to others by following all quality policies / processes / procedures and embracing flawless delivery and right first time, every time principles
Provide guidance to non quality functions on Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes and requirements
Promote a strong quality culture throughout the organisation by listening, learning, helping, engaging and coaching others on quality issues and concerns
Communicate effectively with interested parties in all matters pertaining to product and service quality
Promote and facilitate the use of SQ/PQ tools in quest, analyze data to establish tends, investigate root causes and establish effective correction and corrective actions with key stakeholders.
Undertake vendor audits and assessments and provide vendor support to improve supply chain quality, capability and performance.
Promote and deliver on agreed quality objectives
Perform incoming inspection and verification of; customer property, intercompany supplied parts and products, vendor supplied parts, products and services. (Including documentation)
Perform in-process and final inspection and verification of goods, parts, products and services to ensure they conform to requirements prior to release to the next process and or customer.
Perform all duties as assigned by the Quality leader and or manager.
Prepare, maintain and verify work pack quality records and documents as evidence of compliance to requirements and acceptance criteria
Effectively manage all aspects of calibration for all types of measuring equipment. Inclusive of identification of equipment, calibration database/register, records of calibration and quarantine of out of service equipment
Comply with documented QMS, Inspection procedures, quality plans and ITPs
Transaction processes on SAP optimus including; Quality transactions, QIR codes, QM lots etc.
Follow company HSE processes and requirements, contribute to overall HSE performance by submitting observation and intervention cards (OI and RIR).
Maintain records of inspection, verification and release of products and services as evidence of conformity with acceptance criteria.
*Adhoc travel maybe required to company bases, field locations and suppliers when required for audits, inspections and verification of products and services.

The Company:
Our client is a global leader in engineering, design and manufacturing of pressure control and flow technologies for the oil and gas industry. Our client works on both onshore, offshore and subsea projects in some of the most remote locations in the world. Their interests in Australia are with offshore, onshore and subsea aspects on mega-LNG and oil projects.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum 3 - 5 years in Quality/Manufacturing (Oilfield / Valve Equipment experience highly preferred)
Trade certificate or recognized engineering inspection qualification essential.
Experience on static or portable coordinate measuring machine (CMM)
Experienced in the inspection of workshop production
Experience in use of dimensional measuring equipment
Experience in managing and controlling calibration equipment
Exp. with industry standards (ISO 9001, API Q1, 6D, NATA).
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Good written and interpersonal skills
Internal Auditor Qualification
SAP Optimus experience will be highly regarded

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Dimensional inspection and measurement techniques
Read and understand technical drawing, standards and procedures
Technical report writing
Well organised and thorough. High attention to detail
Good communication skills, both verbal and written, and an ability to relate to and work with all levels of the organization.
Flexible and adaptable worker whom can assess priorities and manage multiple tasks based on risk to the business
Ability to manage priorities and work well within a team
Able to manage and keep focus when priorities change.
Ability to keep clear and accurate records and reports
Excellent computer skills - Microsoft Office
Proficiency in English (in both written and oral skills
