The Role:
- BS degree in engineering field - 8+ years experience in multiple assignments in Pipeline engineering, construction, and project management and controls activities
- Broad range of experience and skills through multiple function & project assignments (Multi-discipline skill set)
- Broad knowledge of design standards, specifications & work processes
- Strong leadership, influencing & interpersonal skills - Strong organizational, coordination, planning & interface skills
- Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads & frequent changes in priorities
- Excellent communication skills & ability to read, write & speak fluent English
- Proficient in MS Office suite of software programs

- The Project Engineer (PE) role is the primary link between project management and the technical disciplines (engineering specialists, design engineers, contracting, purchasing, etc.) involved in a project.
- The PE is also the primary Job Specification point of contact for the FEED and EPC contractors.

* Engage engineering specialists, third party resources and expert resources from the project team and functions as required to complete their work scope consistent with the Project Objectives
* Appraise the contractor's performance in the planning and execution of the engineering, design drafting, and procurement with regard to quality, cost, and schedule
* Serve as interface between project team and contractor, including: o Administer and enforce the Coordination Procedures o Coordinate meetings between contractor and project team
o Prepare correspondence to contractor and submit to Engineering Manager for endorsement
* Recommend corrective action to be taken where deficiencies in the contractor's performance are uncovered and verify that corrective actions are taken
* Review contractor's designs, technical bid evaluations, and vendors' drawings (as appropriate)
* Participate in technical reviews with contractor and vendor personnel
* Manage the MOC Process ensuring all changes to the Specification are documented and endorsed by the appropriate authorities
* Coordinate engineering specialist reviews (ES3) of contractor's engineering deliverables including timely closure of all follow-up actions
* Act as engineering liaison with the site by scheduling / coordinating timely site reviews, making certain authorized changes are incorporated in the work, verifying necessary approvals are obtained for vendors and subcontracts lists, and monitoring capital spare parts procurement efforts
* Interpret the Job Specification in cases where it may be ambiguous, incomplete, or difficult for the contractor to execute. Including management of the project Request for Information (RFI) process
* Keep the Engineering Manager / Lead Project Engineer appropriately informed and submit periodic updates to concerning the status of engineering and contractor's performance
* Participate in all required reviews (HAZOPs, 3-D Model, Constructability etc.)
* Drive AWP implementation * Review contractor's invoices for services received
- This is a level 2 position: 10 to 20 years of related experience is required
