The Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to be based in their Adelaide head office. Due to continued growth across their project portfolio a newly created position had become available within their safety team. This role will provide leadership in the overall implementation of Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems, monitoring of HSE performance and driving continuous improvement in Developments Project Group. The role will be responsible for leading HSE improvement initiatives including provision of advice on HSE matters and HSE training, monitoring Projects HSE performance and HSE system implementation. This position will be offered on a twelve month contract basis

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Policy and Strategy - Responsible for the monitoring and implementation of HSE Policy and Management System, including all standards, processes and procedures.
* Documentation - Responsible for the implementation of Risk Processes relating to HSE risks. Provide HSE leadership; ensures continuous HSE improvement across assigned projects, ensuring consistent implementation, adherence and compliance with company HSE and Risk processes; and ensures HSE obligations are met under relevant legislation;
* Documentation - Maintain and champion the HSE Contractor Management process ensuring consistent approach across all Projects
* Incident Management - Lead and/or assist with incident investigations and incident close out.
* Reporting - Provide Developments Project Group Management Team with performance reports, legislative updates and other specialist HSE advice to support and assist the organisation with managing HSE accountabilities.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Broad understanding of the Construction industry, specifically within Hydrocarbon environments
* Has performed at a high standard in HSE and supervisory roles
* Demonstrated HSE leadership skills and the ability to manage change processes
* Extensive experience in HSE roles
* A knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, regulations etc.
* Demonstrated skills in implementation and on-going management of HSE systems
* Experience in serious incident investigation and HSE audits
* A sound knowledge of risk management processes and risk-based decision making
