The Role:
This role will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of project data management services within the clients portfolio of projects. You will have a high level of ownership within this role focusing on Governance and Control for Data Management across the board.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure the effective application of the Project data management processes, procedures, coding standards and tools
* Support PIM to develop key project documentation such as Engineering Numbering Specification, Information Handover Specification & Plan
* Ensure processes are in place to achieve data accuracy
* Assure that Contractor teams have capability and direction to deliver data management services to the Project
* Responsible for maintaining integrity of the Project Master Class Library (MCL) containing the key reference data set
* Assure all data is submitted and maintained on time for all process activities it supports
* Responsible for the overall integrity of the projects equipment and systems data (e.g. maintenance equipment numbering systems, materials, contractor, vendors, facilities, project and financial planning parameters, asset register, vendor contract information/service level agreements).
* Ensure provision of an accurate and unbiased view of project information status to both the Project Information Manager and the wider Delivery Team
* Ensure information is handed over in accordance to Information Handover Specification (IHS), format and agreed schedules. Interfaces
* Develop and maintain interfaces with key project stakeholders
* Represent Data Management function at relevant project meetings or workshops
* Serve as single-point-of-contact for the project team and operating asset team for the management of project data, integrated information set and interfaces with supporting infrastructure and applications
* Establish processes to ensure data in supply chain and contractor management systems is accurate.
* Collaborate with Operations to develop specifications and plan for information handover
* Support and champion data management standardisation objectives through the provision of training and other knowledge sharing activities
* Research and maintain awareness of policy and business best practices for engineering documentation
* Serving as single-point-of-contact for the project team and operating asset team
Essential experience and job requirements
* Relevant professional experience gained from at least two different job roles related to engineering data management on projects or business assets (ideally Operator based with full lifecycle experience)
* Team Leadership or management experience and desire to develop these through training and hands-on experience
* Experience using electronic data management systems for controlling and reporting project data
* Experience working with large contractor organisations and performing effectively in a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural environment
* Experience & IT skills working with the interfacing of electronic systems
* Strong commitment to HSSE
* High level of self-motivation Other essential skills and knowledge
* Engineering and/or Engineering Systems background

* Experience in Oil and gas sector
* IT systems and IT project management

* GIS systems management and use Additional Requirements Primary skillset - Informatica Big Data Management Tool (BDM)/ Power centre
