Safety Advisor

The Role:
The HSE Champion works closely with operations and Service Managers in establishing and continuously improving the HSE culture in operations and facilities to minimize HSE incidents from occurring. The scope of responsibility for the HSE Champion include both personal safety and process safety (Product Line Specific Safety). In general, the HSE Champions are responsible for training, oversight, trend analysis, support/assist on investigations/creating RWP, and auditing.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties
* Target one day in the office per week with the remaining time spent in the field overseeing filed operations and facility
* Develop/engage Service Managers awareness and ensure HSE is an integral part of management's responsibilities and objectives.
* Monitor HSE objectives
* Liaise with local contractors, and agencies regarding HSE
* Assess the local risks
* Generate local HSE procedures, work instructions and checklists as required
* Prepare and Monitor HSE plans that define how the HSE is implemented at location level
* Coordinate with other HSE Champions in Divisions to share lessons learned and best practices
* Monitor compliance to policies, standards and procedures
* Plan and assist in compliance audits and self-audits (General HSE and PL HSE standards/policies)
* Advise management on corrective action required.
* Coordinate and actively participate in the screening and HSE training of all personnel, including contractors
* Conduct HSE audits at field locations and facilities
* Support/assist on accident and incident investigations, including High Potential near misses.
* Monitor QUEST to ensure accurate and timely reporting of incident if not advise LM accordingly
* Support/assist LM to develop and maintain a high level of awareness among all personnel through communications, training, and promoting active involvement of employees in HSE
* Recommend improvements to the HSE program
* Analyze HSE trends and develop RWP
* Conduct HSE Training as required
* Conduct CommentaryDrive as required
* Promote and monitor reporting through RIR's, O/I, CTA's
* Conduct CTA's

Specific Skills
* Continuously assessed risks/hazards on the field at every workstation/position (PCM, POD, Labs Units, PDP Units etc.) and propose improvements to drive potential risks/hazards down-this will be a relentless iteration.
* Perform HSE Data Management on Site-Real Time Awareness/Feedbackto the crews on:
o QA/AC on:
 OI's Reports
 JSA
 HARCs, Hazards. etc.
* Maximize face time with crew members and provide hands-on coaching the "How to" do a HARC, JSA, OI, etc.-ENGAGEMENT
* Business Model Adaptability -continuouslyadapt processes/methodologiesto matchour changing business model(Factory Style)-How to deal with Routine/Monotony….EO working on equipment for long hours and no change, etc.
* Help Management toSupport/Sustain QHSE Awards (Monthly/Quarterlty), etc

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Education
* Formal education in Occupational Health & Safety
* Minimum of 3 years HSE experience in the Oil and Gas industry
* Excellent computer skills
* Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, and verbal and written communication skills.
* Must be able to interact effectively and work comfortably with both field and management staff.
