Electrical, Instrumentation & Control System Engineer

The Role:

  • Regular surveillance and reporting of E&I systems to intervene in potential issues, provide troubleshooting support and maintain a high level of safety and performance
  • Provide technical expertise related to mine site construction activities
  • Play a key role in the strategic planning and application of resources during the construction phase.
  • Carrying out assigned discipline engineering activities within the team.
  • Ensuring the technical integrity of work, consistency of work quality and to ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with applicable - codes and standards, procedures and the basis of design.
  • Supervising junior engineers and assisting other Engineers in the team with their tasks as required.
  • Ensuring that all interfaces (inter-discipline, client, implementation, fabrication, vendor etc.) are identified and managed in the execution of all projects.
  • Ensuring costs are effectively controlled on assigned work and ensuring that work is completed within budget and timeframe.
  • Ensuring that change is identified, approved and implemented in an effective and timely manner.
  • Being an active member in creating and maintaining a culture of HSE leadership that genuinely values no harm to the environment and values our people's safety, health and well-being.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualified holding relevant Electrical Engineering degree
  • It is essential that you have previous experience in EIC mining projects
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage and influence at all levels
  • Strong Hazardous Area skills.
  • Experience in the preparation, development and review of Project Design Basis, engineering design, construction and commissioning methodology, maintenance strategy documentation, cost estimation and project scheduling.
