The Role:
Senior Procurement Director - Global Electronics

Reporting to the Vice President of Electronics Procurement, this position is responsible for client's direct material electronics procurement strategy, execution and results.

The Electronics Sourcing Leader is the Corporate Procurement Lead to drive business results for the electronics spend across all Suppliers, SBGs and client's global locations. Responsibility for process definition, deployment, results and improvement, strategy development and implementation, oversight of purchasing practices and delivery to an annual operating plan for savings and working capital improvement. This role has direct impact on the financial performance of the businesses through the delivery of cost savings and cash/working capital improvement. Specific responsibilities include:

* Direct responsibility for leveraging over $2B+ annual electronics spend across SBGs and accountability for delivery of annual savings targets
* In conjunction with SBG sourcing leaders and category managers, develop comprehensive cross SBG category strategies that leverage best practices, consistent communication, a common supply base across SBGs, and common High Growth Regions preferred supplier programs
* Deliver business results including productivity, working capital improvement, supplier performance, and continuity of supply
* Leadership of the cross SBG Electronics Global Team
* Build a strong, talented team, and effective efficient structure as part of a new COE
* Consolidate fragmented global spend, reduce the use of non-strategic suppliers, and move the procurement activities upstream in the lifecycle of a solution in order to bring greater value to client
* Negotiate strategic agreements with critical electronics suppliers to maximize the benefits to client
* Facilitate strong cross SBG collaboration across all electronics categories
* In collaboration with SBGs, provide one client voice to the supply base and lead supplier business reviews
* Implement contract excellence across all major electronics categories
* Develop and publish key market intelligence including lead times, capacity, industry trends, benchmarks, etc, to SBG sourcing leaders and category managers
* Develop and provide intelligence on high growth regions and countries
* Assist the SBGs with unique electronics procurement requirements
* Develop and maintain effective supplier relationships and service levels to support business requirements
* Drive strong internal cross functional relationships across client to advance strategy and results
* Build strong technical solutions including new technology, VE, CE product and cost improvements with Electronics Suppliers
* Drive world class performance from client Electronics Suppliers
* Ensure global policy compliance


Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree, preferably in Supply Chain/Procurement or related business field.
* Minimum 10 year's experience in Supply Management/Sourcing/Procurement
* Minimum 5 years leadership experience in Supply Management/Sourcing/Procurement including strong managerial and leadership skills to work across all functions and levels of an organization; ability to lead change; effectively build high performing teams and model high performance standards.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
MBA/Master's Degree preferred
* CPM certification
* Strong knowledge of electronics categories
* Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
Effective communication and interpersonal skills including listening skills and the ability to facilitate team action.
* Execution skills including persistent drive for results utilizing sound project management, organizational and problem solving skills.
* Strategic thinking skills including an ability to make sound business judgments related to strategic supply philosophies and initiatives.
* Technical skills including strong negotiation skills; excellent knowledge of operations management and supply chain processes in a large organization; and knowledge of effective technology driven-sourcing processes.
* Previous leadership experience in a matrix environment.
* Experience in managing diverse cultures in a global business.
