The Role:
We are currently looking for an experienced HSE Advisor to join our client's team on a fixed term contract. In this role you will support the Site Project Manager and HSE Manager to implement and maintain HSE procedures and processes on site, while providing training to site project staff to ensure continuing compliance with project HSE requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Work in conjunction with the Site Project Team and HSE Manager-HO to ensure the site HSE requirements are established, implemented and maintained in accordance with Company's HSE Project Plan, Client and WHS Statutory requirements.
  • Be actively involved with the implementation and maintenance of project HSE Management Plans, CRAW Risk Assessments, HSE Procedures and Forms
  • Conduct HSE inspections and be actively involved with HSE audits; Conduct inspections with Client HSE representatives as required.
  • Conduct pre-start and toolbox meeting training and awareness material as required;
  • Formulate safe methods of work in consultation with the Site Supervisors, Site Manager, Client Representative and workforce personnel as required
  • Monitor inspections and maintenance of plant, equipment and power tools and prevent their use if defective
  • Perform other duties within the organisation that may be necessary to suit operational requirements
  • Take responsibility for your own safety, uphold the Company OHS&E policies and participate in Company OHS&E initiatives.

The Company:
Successful West Australian based company, specialising in the design and construction of major projects associated with mining and infrastructure sectors throughout Australia.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

  • Circa 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • 10+ years' experience in the Construction industry.
  • Operating experience in mining and/or industrial plants.
  • Experience in working with multiple discipline projects.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft applications and excellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite.
  • High Risk Work Licence (Worksafe Certificate) (2008).
  • OHS Construction Induction Card.
  • C Class License.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:

  • Autocad or familiarity with various drawings software's would be an advantage.
  • Experience with design software for conveyors, pipe networks, machine elements and similar would be advantageous.
