The Role:
Diploma or bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Technology with 2-5 years related experience.

In addition:
* Effectively gathers information and understands customer needs to achieve resolution
* Motivation to learn and is tenacious at troubleshooting issues
* Ability to escalate issues internally and seek vendor support when required to keep the IT systems running reliably
* Ability to work within a highly technical motivated team, and build on each other's ideas in a collaborative way
* Strong organizational and communication skills along with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances as well as clarify information or instructions relevant to their job
* Ability to stay focused, methodical thinker and possesses a high attention to detail
* Ability to work constructively and collaboratively with clients, other IT Practitioners, and vendors.
* Excellent written and oral communications skills.
* Demonstrated organization and time management skills.
* A demonstrated commitment to cilent's values, in particular the Responsible Care principles

The following would be considered an asset:
* Knowledge of Microsoft System Centre
* Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy
* Microsoft and other industry certifications
* Ability to develop VB and PowerShell scripts to automate Microsoft Windows
* Knowledge of Cisco networking principles
* Knowledge of Microsoft Hyper-V
* Knowledge of CISCO network hardware (Routers, Switches and Firewalls)
* CCNA or Network+ certification



JOB ACCOUNTABILIIES/DUTIES
* Provide technical assistance and customer problem resolution for queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware
* Understands and applies knowledge of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager suite of tools for operating system deployment, patch management, remote control and other areas as needed
* Possesses an understanding of the various Information Technology (IT) infrastructure components used in a corporate environment and their interdependencies
* Understands the client PC, server and networking environments and the relationship between these technologies in a Microsoft environment
* Troubleshoots and configures the components within a Microsoft client operating system
* Ability to support common business applications within the Microsoft Office 365 suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Has an understanding and ability to troubleshoot client profiles, with a focus on maintaining a consistent and optimum client computing experience
* Understands Microsoft Active Directory and Group Polices to support the client environment
* Applies IT processes and follows procedures utilized in their job function to successfully deliver on assigned work
* Escalate site-specific issues and coordinate resolutions with external Telecommunications providers. Additionally, coordinating the installation of network/telecom services in collaboration with local business stakeholders for any expansion related activities
* Collaborate with remote peers on the relocation and installation of network and server equipment using best practices that align to established standards
* Develop and execute plans for assigned activities
* Develop and maintain technical documentation
* Take initiative to access the information required complete their work
