The Role:
Location: Johor, Malaysia
Tenure: 2-year Direct Contract
Responsibilities:
- Manage project financials to ensure meeting with initial cost strategies and cost spending are on-track with approved working budget.
- Manage potential overrun with PMT for early mitigation initiatives to save costs
- Report on financial performance of the project and potential risks and opportunities to assist PMT in taking crucial decision
1. Cost Control Plan
Manage approved working budget and cost control plan
2. Detailed Budget Preparation, Cost Forecast and Reporting
Preparation of the detailed working budget upon discussion with Engineering, Procurement and PMT
Manage cost trending & forecasting analysis for project costs
Lead in producing accurate, complete and on time monthly Project Management Report (PMR) for Company's management and Job Cost Summary (JCS) to Corporate Accounting;
Provide reviews of projects cost performance, providing all concerned parties with regular feedback and advice.
Manage project documents in relation to project financials to ensure documentations are intact for required submission to clients
3. Contract (Change) Management and Claims
Manage compliance to contractual matters with client and subcontractor. Highlight any departure on contractual matters to Project Manager and Management, prepare necessary correspondences on the said matter;
Assess and analyze all amendments to the project budget as a result of change orders and takes necessary actions to amend the budget. Prepare change order claims to client upon confirmation of IPCO
4. Project Cash Flow
Manage project cash flow to ensure sufficient cash generated from project throughout the life of the project; and
Manage financing option for project cash flow deficit and\or those exposed to foreign currency fluctuation risks with Corporate Finance

Founded in 1989, our client is a Malaysian owned shipbuilding and heavy engineering industries company. Their main solutions include deepwater, fixed platforms, conversion, marine repair, process modules and other services.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Degree in QS/ Engineering/Project Management or a work-related equivalent degree.
- At least 8 years' working experience
- Knowledge in project costing, subcontract, contract management and related fields in oil & gas industry is an added advantage.
