The Role:

Responsible for Piping and Layout engineering for Compression FEED Project

Job Context & Major Challenge(s)

  • Provides visible safety leadership through active participation in the Compression FEED Project Safety Program
  • Reviews the FEED design developed by the Contractor and verify compliance with Company's standards and Company's objectives. Understand and communicate the requirements of FEED design to Contractor
  • Efficiently translate Company requirements and data into an efficient delivery from the Contractor and Verify compliance with Company requirements, standards, specifications and instructions
  • Manage the Contractor in the safe delivery of the FEED scope of piping & layout components
  • Monitor the progress and delivery of the engineering sections of the work scope

Key Job Accountabilities

  • Ensures completeness of the Piping & Layout engineering deliverables during FEED
  • Ensures the achievement of assigned goals and the fulfillment of the project quality requirements and the contractual obligations.
  • Responsible to check, review and appraise all piping & layout technical documents (specifications, calculation notes, drawings, etc.) developed by Contractor are in compliance with project scopes and requirements and identify potential risks to project if any.
  • Identify capital efficiency opportunities as far as possible
  • Manage FEED Contractor's Piping and Layout disciplines resources and to ensure work completion on time
  • Responsible for model review conducted during FEED
  • Monitors and reports actual progress including SP3D model development to ensure Contractor completion of key milestones
  • Provide technical support to project and coordinate multi-discipline input on piping & layout deliverables
  • Participate in various project's workshop such as Hazardous Operations (HAZOP or HAZID) reviews
  • Assists with Company's expectations as required especially Risk Assessment, Facility Design and Construction and Management of Change
  • Tracking and reporting of lessons learned in defined area of responsibility
  • Works in a highly visible project environment with large capital expenditures and significant schedule execution pressures


Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 15+ years of experience in discipline with at least five years demonstrated senior engineering experience in major capital projects, preferably having experiences on Offshore Compression Project
  • Experience with EPC contractors, sub-contractors and vendors involved in the oil and gas industry
  • Demonstrated ability and sensitivity to work with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds
  • Knowledgeable in Codes & Standards
  • A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications
  • Works in a dynamic environment that has high expectations for flawless project execution in safety, quality, cost and schedule performance which requires the incumbent to demonstrate accuracy initiative and the ability to multi-task as essential skills
  • Well established awareness of policies and procedures with high expectations for business controls compliance and to further develop controls to meet changing needs
