The Role:
Logistics Technician
Location - Kent

Job Role:
To plan and undertake the transfer and storage of goods, plant and equipment to meet the production requirements and expectation of site based activities.

6 Responsibilities
The specific responsibilities of a Logistics Technician are to:

1) Report to their supervisor (or in their absence to the Appointed Person for Lifting).

2) Ensure that sufficient and suitable records of progress are produced in a timely manner.

3) Ensure that they understand and sign on to all relevant Plans, Permits to Work, Risk Assessments etc. associated with their work.

4) Record any problems encountered during the progress of the work and notify the Appointed Person for Lifting (or Supervisor) of the details promptly.

5) Ensure compliance with the requirements of the relevant associated documentation and related legislation.

6) Keep work areas clean & tidy: clean up after work each day.

7) Attend weekly Toolbox Talks on matters of safety and Company policy.

8) Participate in the production and review of Point of Work Risk Assessments.

9) Participate in the Pre & Post Job De-Briefs.

These duties are project specific and in addition to those described in the Company and project manuals and procedures. He/she shall ensure that they are familiar with these documents, and any legislation to which they refer.

The Logistic Technician may be assisted in the execution of these duties by a team of supervisory staff. The services of site establishment e.g. quality, safety, administration etc. will also be available of which full use should be made.
Recognised Training Scheme or Apprenticeship (i.e. NASEC/CITB) with appropriate CPCS card (or equivalent). Appropriate site installation/maintenance experience preferably in Nuclear Industry/Power Generation. ECITB ACE card holder.
