The Role:
Accounts Payable Analyst - Technology & Projects (Junior)

Overview
The Accounts Payable ("AP") process includes the invoice and payment processes within the Company's Purchase-to-Pay ("P2P") process. The AP Analyst - Technology and Projects role is accountable for supporting the AP team to ensure effective processes, systems and technology, performing end to end testing and participating on continuous process & technology improvement projects that deliver value.

Responsibilities
* Provide general AP analyst support for the AP Process and Technology Services team
* Research and resolve processing issues through root cause analysis and suggests process improvements
* Build standard test cases to create a sustainable invoice testing process
* Perform end to end testing, including thorough documentation of test results, to ensure success of technology changes to the AP processes and systems
* Communicate with a diverse group of business partners across all levels of the company, which includes leading & representing AP in meetings
* Develop the thought process of continuous improvement and make contributions towards implementing changes in our systems and processes to increase productivity
* Participate in AP activities related to acquisitions and divestures
* Manage and maintain the vendor hotline scripts and partner with the Supplier Training Coordinator to improve supplier support
* Work with developers, end users and third parties on requirements, technical design, testing, implementation and troubleshooting
* Assist with a variety of AP tasks and projects as necessary including back-up support for other team members


Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or related field required
* 5+ years' relevant experience required
* 2+ years' relevant AP or P2P experience required
* Oil & Gas background preferred
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills including Pivots and VLookups
* ERP experience required; SAP preferred
* Electronic Invoicing Portal experience required; Oildex Open Invoice preferred
* Intermediate knowledge of EDI technology and invoice processing exceptions required
* Experience working with developers, end users and third parties on requirements, technical design, testing, implementation and troubleshooting preferred
* Knowledge of basic accounting principles required
* Ability to review, revise, implement and communicate changes to existing policies, procedures and systems
* Ability to research and interpret information and to act proactively to develop knowledge of the business and its activities
* Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines
* Ability to effectively present information, written and verbal, to provide meaningful feedback and collaboration from top management, peers and partners
* Effectively work in a team environment with strong interpersonal skills
* Must have a demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multi-task and to work under pressure with sense of urgency
* Strong problem solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
* Strong customer focus with excellent interpersonal & communication skills
