The Role:
Overview:
Our client currently seeking an experienced Project Controls Specialist as part of our Oklahoma Resource Basin. The successful candidate must be able to assists with project and program management efforts in the development, maintenance, and analysis of project schedules. Takes the lead in planning, tracking, analyzing and reporting on projects and programs of varying size and complexity. Provides critical support to project managers by monitoring schedules to forecast and identify significant project delivery risks and issues. The candidate will also need an understanding of project cost analysis and reporting to identify over and under budget projects and develop cash flows based on combine cost and schedule forecasts.
This position will report to the Planning and Scheduling Supervisor and will be located in Oklahoma City, OK and requires bi-weekly travel to field locations.
Responsibilities:
* Scheduling:
o Advises and assists in the utilization of Primavera for project & program management
o Develops and maintains schedules, optimizes change outcomes, and advises of schedule performance
o Leads the effort in the integration of Primavera into the business unit's processes
o Develops procedures and best practices in using Primavera
o Promotes versatility and practicality of using Primavera, placing emphasis on conformance to uniform schedule controls
o Analyzes project schedule performance trends. Provides recommendations and guidance to Project Managers
o Attends, participates and leads project status meetings with key stakeholders
o Prepares comprehensive project activity reports such as two week look aheads, critical paths, etc.
o Provides tutorial assistance, leadership to users, and assumes the role of power user of Primavera
o Communicates project status and estimated completion dates
o Provides "what if" scenarios as needed
o Works with Maintenance schedulers to integrate SAP PM and Primavera schedules
* Cost Analysis
o Incorporate project cost budgets, actuals and changes to develop cash flows and analyze under and over spend trends
o Assist with the development and implementation of a cost management system for the Production Operations teams to utilize for projects.
* Project Controls Team Support:
o Develop and maintain significant project reports for management review
Provide backup for various team members, with general knowledge of functional roles and responsibilities of the Project Controls team

Requirements
* High School Degree require; Bachelor's degree preferred
* Minimum 3 years planning and scheduling experience. Proficiency in project schedule development and analyst. Experience in scheduling methodology with resource loading.
* Experience maintaining workflow modules.
* Preference for experience supporting the Oklahoma Resource Basin/Anadarko Basin. Oil and gas experience a requirements
* Strong Microsoft office skills required
* Strong knowledge and experience using Primavera P6 and SAP-PM
