The Role:
The Strategic Marketing Manager positioned in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, reports to the VP, Defense & Space, APAC, and supports segment leader, as a core member of the regional team driving growth for APAC Aero business.

Primary Responsibilities:
* Accountable for strategic planning and marketing for Defense Aerospace in Asia Pacific
* Responsible for conducting the annual review of the 5-year Strategic Action Plan
* Lead the process of refining five-year plan, including analysis of market trends, threats, opportunities, setting business priorities, developing strategic initiatives and milestone planning, building financial forecast, and socializing and presenting the plan to the Asia Pacific leadership team
* Analyze customers' and competitors' strategies and determine implications for CLIENT's business
* Perform market segmentation analysis and develop strategy that fits our competencies
* Conduct market-back report that analyzes market erosion and growth
* Recommend strategic actions to drive revenue and operating income
* Work closely with the product management function to influence product portfolio
* Work with regional teams to ensure strategies are aggressive, consistent, and actionable
* Support other global and regional strategic marketing or business development activities
* Significant interaction with customers & potential partners in Asia Pacific to drive sales

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Min. 8-10 years of experience in strategy / product marketing / management consulting or other relevant discipline
Experience in strategy roles and involvement in strategy planning
Experience in Product marketing
