The Role:
As a Thermo-Fluids Systems Engineer you will be responsible for the design and specification of fluid flow equipment through the development of thermo-fluids models using commercial and internal software. As well as working as part of a multi-functional integrated team, this role will also provide you with the opportunity to gain experience across all the Thermo-Fluids capabilities interacting with other business units. Our Civil Nuclear business supplies world-class nuclear power solutions to commercial and defence sites.
Candidates are expected to have relevant professional and academic qualifications including a degree or equivalent, in an engineering or numerate discipline.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Candidates must be able to demonstrate the following competencies / skills:
* A good technical background and familiarity with fluid flow and heat transfer principles.
* Experience working with Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger design software such as HTRI (Heat Transfer Research Inc).
* Experience designing to standards such as TEMA (Tubular Exchanger Manufacturers Association).
* Experience working closely with process and mechanical team in an iterative manner to achieve a feasible heat exchanger design.
* Good team working skills and an ability to work as part of a multi-functional team.
* An ability to communicate effectively at all levels, written and verbally.
* Thinking out of the box and apply the thermo-fluids knowledge to a wide range of tasks.
* An ability to plan and execute complex tasks in challenging time frames.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Experience of the some of the following codes; Fluent, CFD, SCO3 or SPAN
* Worked for similar tier 2 or 3 nuclear organisations
* Come from a Chemical/Process Engineer Background with Thermal/Heat Transfer/Heat Exchange experience
