  • Manage and coaching material buyer team.
  • Lead, control and improve material cost spending.
  • Lead and follow up overall dept. cost reduction budget and action plan to meet target timely. Create savings report monthly.
  • Manage approved vendor list.
  • Leadership involvement in cost estimation process (RFCE) for new business.
  • Perform sourcing process on time, accuracy of document, negotiation competitive price & tooling and compliance with Dana policy (RFQ & term -> supplier selection).
  • Manage PO issue/sign off and maintain Dana's terms and conditions, another requirement. Create BPO tracking report monthly.
  • Manage mitigation of price increase from supplier.
  • Coordinate with supplier regarding DST's cost reduction and other activities.
  • Maintain / update purchasing database.
  • Manage supply base / relationship.
  • Participate in regional and global strategic sourcing efforts.
  • Participate in a cross functional team such as APQP meeting.
  • Problem solving on supplier concerns with Buyer.
  • Internal auditor on SCMG process & practice of Buyer.
  • Develop, support, and maintain DST's Quality System ISO/TS16949 and OHSAS18001 and ISO 14001requirements.
  • Participate in company activities i.e. 5S, DOS etc.
  • Others as assigned by Country Purchasing Manager.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical/ Industrial engineer or related field.
  • 10 years' experience in purchasing area or 8-10 years in automotive industry.
  • Good command of English both spoken and written.
  • Computer Literate in basic business software (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).
  • Knowledge in SAP will be advantaged.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Program management.
  • Able to work long hour and work non-normal business hours if required.
  • Able to travel aboard and up-country extensively.
