The Role:
Our client is an engineering consultancy specialized in asset performance management and engineering analyses. Our client has an established position as a market leader in reliability based mechanical integrity, asset management, and metallurgical and mechanical engineering; we provide these services mainly to the Oil & Gas and Power markets.

Key Responsibilities:
This position includes providing corrosion consulting and evaluation for downstream chemical facilities.

Duties include:
* Reviewing operating and inspection history
* Identifying corrosion mechanisms
* Assigning expected corrosion rates based on experience, history and literature
* Following industry standards and in-house work procedures
* Presenting corrosion studies at chemical manufacturing sites
* Writing technical reports

Experience with and expertise in the following is essential:
* Chemical manufacturing corrosion issues and controls
* Understanding chemical manufacturing processes
* Materials selection
* API 581, NACE MR0103 and other API and NACE standards
* Metallurgical analyses

Experience and familiarity with the following is beneficial:
* Failure analysis
* Welding and repair consulting
* Inspection planning
* Risk prioritization of process equipment

Sr. Corrosion Engineer will interact with the RBI department to provide support for Risk Based Inspection and Reliability Based Mechanical Integrity implementation projects. Support will include performance of corrosion studies, risk assessments, and inspection planning using client's RBMI technology. Sr. Engineer will interact with the client to understand process considerations, present corrosion studies and be familiar with industry practices.

Sr. Engineer will be involved with national organizations to interact with peers to represent the client's as well as gain knowledge on state of the art tools and methods of evaluation. Sr. Engineer will be involved understanding industry trends and problems in plant equipment.

Strong expertise in the oil & gas refining industry is a requirement.

Sr. Engineer will also be involved in developing proposals, as well as other marketing activities, to promote the various facets of LREA.

Job Requirements

*Minimum of 10 years' experience in Corrosion Engineering in a Chemical manufacturing Environment. Preferably with 25+ years of experience.
*Bachelors Degree in Chemical or Materials Engineering.
