The Role:
Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Being the main resource who ensures that Operations know the parameters/set points for keeping the plant operating at its optimum performance level.
* Completing Plant and Equipment Performance Evaluations, e.g. Compressor Train evaluations, Fired Heater Efficiency, Catalyst Surveys, overall Plant Performance Tests and generating the associated reports.
* Continuously improving the capacity and efficiency of the plant through identification and removal of bottlenecks.
* Learning the specific characteristics of the plants and understanding the factors affecting their operability.
* Contributing to the training and development of Plant Operating Team (Operations, Maintenance, E&I, Planning, etc.).
* Championing Process Safety on the assigned Plant.
* Holding on for the Production Manager when required.
* Providing engineering services for all Plants, Off sites and Utilities as well as for optimization of plant processes.
* Serving as lead process engineer for capital projects and plant modifications.
* Providing leadership for the process engineering discipline through all phases of a project, from conceptual design through to commissioning and start-up.
* Ensuring projects are designed and executed in compliance with all applicable Yara policies, governmental and industry safety, engineering and construction standards/procedures; including PSM and Change Management procedures & standards.
* Having the ability to troubleshoot process and equipment malfunctions, and develop operating procedures.
* Developing a clear understanding of Sponsor's Objectives and risk tolerance for each project. Apply critical and economic thinking to maximize value delivered to the customer. Ensure value engineering principles are applied through-out all project phases.
* Sharing best practices with other production units.
* Providing coverage for plant shut downs and start ups and services for the on-call system.
* Having the ability to function in a multi-disciplinary team and to fulfil different roles on different project teams.
* Providing contractor oversight and work with site technical staff and operations to integrate projects into site systems.
* Assuming responsibility, along with other project team members, for meeting project Sponsor's Objectives.
* Developing and mentoring less-experienced technical staff and foster productivity, work quality, creativity, teamwork, and self-improvement within the organization.

What you need for this position:
The successful candidates will have a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical and Process Engineering from an accredited Institution, with at least five (5) years' experience in process plant operations, preferably with emphasis on the Ammonia Process. They will have experience as a lead process engineer for multiple projects involving a management of change process, and would have demonstrated process discipline leadership experience on projects within the chemical, petrochemical, or refinery industries.

The incumbents will have design and/or operating experience with utility systems, demonstrated HAZOP leadership as well as functional knowledge of project management and engineering software, e.g. ASPEN and DCS programming. Certification in project management will be considered an asset.

The selected candidates will be organized individuals who can manage time and resources effectively, as well as be able to work extended hours, when needed, to meet our 24/7 business operational commitments. They must also possess the flexibility to work within an industrial complex, including confined spaces and at heights.

* Salary will be dependent on the quality of the work experience the candidate brings to the table. Base can start around $25,000TTD plus additional allowances (travel, housing, vacation, gym etc.).
