The Role:
Department/Function : ITC / Applications
Location : Basra
28 / 28 rotation

Essential Experience and Job requirements:
A proven track record in OSISOFT applications maintenance and service delivery with over 6 years of experience in E&P companies, in depth knowledge of Engineering, instrumentation, Realtime data sources and connectivity etc. The Support Engineer shall be responsible to provide support encompassing all currently available Company deployed OSIsoft PI applications as well as any new OSI application to be deployed at later stages. These will be at minimum include;
 PI HA Historian;
 Azure PI & PIAF
 PI Asset Framework;
 PI Vision;
 PI ProcessBook;
 PI DataLink
 DA/HDA Interfaces
 PI to PI Connector
 PI Integrator

Onsite Support Engineer responsibilities includes but not limited to the followings:
* Installation, support and release management of the OSIsoft PI Historian suite of applications
* Using COMPANY processes and toolsets, manage administrative details relating to the OSI PI environment, including, but not limited to:
 OSI PI software and database, license management
 Tag configuration and administration
 AF Data Structure management
 Equipment Templating
 Graphical Content Generation
 Security
 User Access Rights
 Application to Application Trusts
 Management of PI High Availability collective
 Management of PI AF objects
 Advise on archive and backup management
 PI Connectivity to multi-vendors OPC system
 Manage Interfaces to field wide OPC data sources
 Monitoring of OSIsoft PI Historian health, both Server and Interfaces
* Responsible to troubleshoot and coordinate internally and external supporting vendors and provide resolution of incidences.
* Preventive maintenance to ensure nonstop Realtime data availability in PI and client applications.
* Responsible to follow the company's services management tool to manage support and incident tickets
* Responsible to maintain all OSI PI configurations, installations, project documents etc, considering any changes,
* Actively Participate in OSI PI Projects as directed by Line Manager
* Provide on the Job learning to business end users including but not limited to;
 Hands on learning during daily support activities
 Installation activities
 End user mentoring on OSISOFT applications
* Local historians on Process networks are maintained by COMPANY Contractors, Support Engineer is required to perform interface configuration and fault diagnostic activities
Job Purpose:

To provide on-site support on OSIsoft PI suite of applications including installations, configuration, interfaces, server management, release management, user admin and capacity management and ensure uninterrupted real-time data availability into PI and client applications.

Key Accountabilities:

Key accountabilities for Onsite PI Support engineer include but limited to following.
* Coach and develop staff through on the job training.
* Provide end user support and education on OSISOFT PI products
* Manage user accounts requests, user group access, general setup and password resets


Problem management and Root Cause Analysis
* Produce and update OSISOFT application roadmaps including upgrade paths and end of support information.
* Identifying key issues and risks within PI system. Take proactive remediation steps when required.
* Provide a structured weekly report that monitor progress, Incidents, Projects, Key Activity and Management Information
* Agree, document and ensure that technical standards are adhered to.
* Agree, document and test standard operating procedure and ensure these are scheduled and completed as required.
* Work with Applications and other ITC teams to develop, deploy, monitor, maintain, upgrade, systems integration and application maintenance. Support other ITC teams with their solution design and project implementation
* Keep key documentation up to date to including supported applications, access control, CMDB and change requests
* Ensure security vulnerabilities are assed and appropriate action taken
* Manage the end to end Release and Deployment process ensuring patching and hotfixes are applied as appropriate, keeping versions per the agreed roadmap.
* Use appropriate tools to monitor and manage applications reporting on capacity, performance and optimisation, taking remediation action as necessary
* Develop and maintain excellent relationships with a very diverse group of stakeholders, including Chinese and Iraqi JV partners, users, vendors and IT service organisations, communicating effectively with business process owners, key business users and Project

Delivery Managers
* Identify and progress continuous service improvement activities.
* Actively promote a culture of HSSE awareness within the team and the wider organisation.

Essential Education: University degree in the field of Petroleum Engineering / Engineering or related equivalent experience

Desired Qualifications:
* ITIL Foundation certification
* Knowledge and experience on SQL, databases, Visual Basic, MS Excel scripting etc.
