Our client, a LNG producer, is seeking an Information Management Lead for the project in Canada. The position will be based out of Calgary, Alberta.

The primary purpose of this role is to enable the effective, timely, quality, and future-proofed startup and handover of the project to the Asset.

On behalf of the Information Management (IM) Manager, the Information Management Lead top three accountabilities are:

1) Contribute to a safe, quality, and efficient operating environment during project execution and asset operations through delivery of the quality and reliable Information Asset to enable sustainable project and asset performance;

2) Focal and champion of leveraging the engineering data through to the Asset to enable quality and efficient processes and data supporting Operations and Maintenance (O&M); and

3) Provide IM expertise in support of Venture and non-Plant sub-projects including IM team contributions to deliver overall value as a senior member of the IM team.

Activities in support of the top accountabilities include but are not limited to:

1) Interface with IM Team and Asset Team to ensure O&M specifications and application build are aligned with Plant Project Specifications and can support the ongoing Project Asset deliverables (e.g. ensuring the Maintenance Management System Build, adheres to established Numbering, Classifications and Data specifications, Spare Parts Interchangeability Records, etc.) to be delivered by Operations and Maintenance;

2) Facilitate the interface and mapping definitions between the IM applications (SPO/SPF, etc.) and O&M applications (SAP, E-SPIR, etc.) and deliver as part of broader IMIT and O&M teams in support of deployment;

3) Simplify requirements for O&M delivery; 4) Identify and deliver any additional post-handover Asset requirements;

5) Maintaining both project / operations standards and procedures; identify and elevating discrepancies;

6) Apply Client standards to deliver Asset Information requirements to the Project and Operations teams;

7) Support the overall IM team quality delivery and assurance (documents, data, process) to the Asset team in terms of consistency, completeness and correctness;

8) Facilitate the ongoing alignment between the IM Project team and Asset team (O&M and future IM); and

9) Support IM team in delivery of other IM and Engineering application handovers as required.


This position is for an Information Management Lead within the venture IMIT team, which reports to the IM Manager.

Additional dimensions include:

1) This is a pathfinding project with data-centric handover strategy, plans, and specifications defined as part of the EPC contract; the challenge is to deliver on and enable value to project and asset through this novel approach;

2) Work in a non-operated standalone venture leveraging IMIT services and solutions by others. The IMIT team is streamlined and optimized to support and deliver on all the sub-project, corporate venture, and Asset team requirements (including operational sustainable IMIT organization). This IMIT team spans multiple locations and leverages transactional capability in high value centers;

3) This position is the key IM interface from the IM Team to the Asset handover team;

4) Leverage digitalization, agile, and outcome based delivery to continually improve and enable business value;

5) Working, and effectively communicating, in a highly virtualized environment in a geographically diverse and multicultural team. Flexible working hours is a requirement;

6) Multiple project components making up the transition to the asset team;

7) Ability to work in a fast moving, rapidly changing and dynamic environment of a major Capital Project; and

8) Help champion the successful use of Client novelties (SPO/SPF, SP engineering), market standard solutions, and new processes (such as Asset Management System) to help realize simplification and business benefits related to Asset IM, Operations & Maintenance.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

1) Technical and Business Skills:

* Substantial / Extensive experience in Asset Information Management in Greenfield and/or Brownfield projects

* Previous experience of working in an Asset O&M team will be a distinct advantage

* Previous experience of Operations Readiness & Assurance activities including computerized maintenance and management system build and of managing as-built data and documents

* Experience working with Engineering Data Warehouse (EDW) systems

* Experience working with SmartPlant Foundation as a document and/or data management tool

* Sound understanding of the Project and Maintenance Engineering environment and awareness of the associated business processes

* Good working knowledge of the Project Data Control and relevant processes, familiar with data-modeling methodology

* Sound understanding on the IM SoW and Information Specification, DEP Engineering Information Specification (EIS) and the related documents
