The Role:
The Sr Construction Supervisor will be the owner's eyes and ears at the work face to ensure safe execution of the project scope. The primary responsibilities of the Sr. Construction Supervisor will be the active participation in daily contractor meetings including tool box talks, job hazard analysis, field level work plans, safe work permitting, etc. and then ensuring the objectives of the above items are being safely executed at the work sites.

This role focuses on the EPC Contractor's Piling and Concrete foundation scope, ensuring safe delivery of scope - with the required quality to 'get it right first time'.

A key element of managing lump sum EPC Contracts is the ability to 'know the status of the project' at all times. The Sr. Construction Supervisor will be required to clearly communicate and report status to the Construction Manager and identify further impacts if risks are not mitigated.

As with all members of the Construction Team it is imperative the Sr. Construction Supervisor truly believes in and demonstrates behaviours aligned with LNG Canada's core values of respect, intervention and compliance.

* A construction professional with a minimum of 15 years site experience
* Strong contractor interface skills including leadership in the area of HSSE performance
* A track record of successfully and safely COMPLETING projects
* Proven experience working on large and complex piling scopes.
* Proven experience working on large and complex concrete foundation scopes.
* Experience working on large scale Oil & Gas projects.
* Lump Sum EPC experience is preferable.
* Must be a team player, who can integrate and quickly become effective within the Company owners team.

The Sr. Construction Supervisor will report to the Construction Manager - Plant Early Works. The team will interface directly with both Company and Contractor Construction Management and HSSE teams, where building relationships are critical for success.

* As needed to meet project requirements, normally 10x4 or 14x7 (days on / days off)
* Accommodation will be provided in Kitimat, either a furnished apartment or in a camp.
* The shift is 10 hours per day, additional as requested/approved by the Construction Manager.


o The project has the desire to be the 'Safest Project on Earth' and therefore requires someone who is passionate around safe execution and building a HSSE culture.
o Located in an environmentally sensitive location, strong environmental stewardship is critical to ensure that 'best in class' commitments are met.

* People
o Demonstrates every day behaviours aligned with respect for people
o Believes in and works as a team member and promotes team behaviours

* Schedule
o Understands how to manage EPC Contractor's delivery of schedule.
o Can interrogate schedules and effectively plan for upcoming work, by assuring that HSSE, Engineering and Quality deliverables are in place to support activities.

* Cost
o Must be commercially aware of Lump Sum Contracting and how to document field evidence for the owners claim teams.
o Must be able to deliver through others, without controlling or directing work which would interfere with Contractor's responsible, potentially leading to claims.

* Quality
o Is actively engaged in the Inspection Test Plans (ITP's) and the execution of them
o Is committed to creating a quality culture of 'getting it right first time'
o Will attend surveillance and witness points on behalf of Company.
