The Role:
Assist in management planning processes

Assist LBM in the development and formulation of long and short-range planning, policies, programs and objectives

Manufacturing planning

Develop the manufacturing plan and establish procedures for maintaining high standards of manufacturing operations to ensure that products conform to established customer and company quality standards, to attain maximum efficiency in the production processes, inventory and shipping/ receiving functions at manufacturing plant are operating at levels which meet customers' needs and established financial benchmarks.

Work closely with the relevant R&D personnel in organizing trial production and production for new/ modified products to ensure the production capability able to cope with the new requirements.

Manpower planning and utilization

Decide the manpower requirements in the responsible departments and ensure compliance with company policies. Recruit, train, develop and evaluate the employees. Advise plant managers and monitor their performance on labour issues including safety, security, employee relations, scheduling, training, grievances and the like which are essential for the manufacturing objectives. Take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policies. Consult with Human Resources Department as appropriate.

Budgeting and cost controlling

Decide, monitor and control the budgets in the responsible area. Achieve optimum employee levels with least amount of overhead and raw material costs to operate within decided budgets. Report on operation costs according to the company accounting policies and alert management cost and labour overrun. Make recommendation and implement solutions to problems related to same.

Improvement

Identify, recommend and implement changes to improve productivity and reduce cost and scrap, monitor scrap and rework data. Direct the establishment, implementation and maintenance of production standards. Keep current on information and technology affecting the department to increase innovation and ensure compliance.

Project management

Initiate, coordinate and monitor major plant related projects such as computerized integrated record keeping system, layout changes, installation of capital equipment, major repairs, etc, including miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required.

People and function management

Plan and control the function structure and manpower requirements, headcount and budget, establish development measures and appraise the performance of the team. Direct and prioritize the workload of team members. Train (via on-the-job, in-house and/or external training programs) and coach the direct reports (who are mostly experienced professionals/ managers) and develop the succession planning in order to improve the working efficiency, quality and professional skills of the team members. Compile and review work records to determine department productivity, quality of output and cost of service. Develop methods to continually improve results.

EHS

According to corporate, company and statutory EHS requirements, lead and monitor the implementation of the relevant safety and environment protection policies and procedures in all the operation areas.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Chemical engineering

Working Experience: at least 10 years' relevant working experience in Operation Management

Fluent in both English and Thai

Computer Literacy

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
