The Role:
As a Data Scientist, you will be solving complex problems using data analytics and machine learning. You will be working in a multi-disciplinary team with stakeholders across the business, and responsible for the end-to-end delivery of data science projects.

Responsibilities
The Data Scientist is a global role primarily responsible for operationalising the vision of data-driven decision-making within our marketing and growth teams. The data scientist will work alongside business and technical stakeholders to develop and build scalable data products. This role requires strong technical and communication skills, creativity problem solving skills, and experience managing data science projects from design to delivery.

The data scientist's role includes:
●Interacting with internal stakeholders and external customers to understand and help solve their data problems
●Scoping data science projects across the business and defining the workflow
●Developing and testing machine learning models using the latest data mining, statistical and machine learning techniques
●Managing data science projects from design to delivery
●Working closely with sales, marketing, data & IT teams to productionise models
●Working closely with the rest of the data science team to align and standardise data models.
●Communicating their work with the rest of the business - through visualisations, interfaces, presentations and other mediums
●Monitor and highlight campaign and initiative effectiveness through delivery of post-campaign evaluation, significance testing and reporting on ROI and incremental value.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience and Competencies
●Highly quantitative background - ideally advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in quantitative subject (eg. Maths, Physics, Computer Science, Computational Biology, Econometrics)
●Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, C++
●Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL data
●Understand of engineering best practices, agile development processes and version control
●Experience with applying machine learning models to a variety of problems
●Ability to translate insights into business recommendations
●Excellent written & verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics to non-technical audiences
●Experience with data tools and technologies such as Postgres, Scikit Learn, NEO4J, MongoDB, and Spark
