The Role:
Job Accountabilities:
* Leading the identification and adoption of appropriate dredging standards, with main consideration of Kazakhstan national standards and norms.
* Provide technical expertise and support for design, procurement and construction of dredging projects, ensuring the quality and cost control of the works according to the contracts requirements.
* To review the Contractors design documents.
* To assure the design is in line with the Company's specification and in compliance with applicable standards and codes.
* To interface with the others engineering disciplines and other departments to properly and timely develop the projects.
* To manage and validate the site design changes originated by construction/installation reasons.
* To complete the Contractors' detailed design review and develop additional site engineering as the case could be.
* To verify and manage the interface engineering of the packages designed by the different Contractors.
* To support the Technical Services Team Lead (CSA/EIT) in processing from the technical point of view Technical Queries (TQs), Concession Requests (CRs), Project Change Notices (PCNs) and Claims.
* To verify the availability of AFC drawings in order not to jeopardize the sequence of the construction activities as scheduled.
* To assist the Construction Team to achieve the project technical requirements.
* To verify the completeness and correctness of the AS BUILT drawings.
* To ensure the development of local capabilities and provide on-job training of the assigned resources.
* To supervise and coordinate the dredging engineering activities in accordance with budget, schedule and quality standards.
* To support the Technical Services Team Lead by supervising, reporting and updating on all the technical aspects of dredging projects.

Safety Responsibilities:
The job holder will need to show an aptitude to work within this multicultural and multi-stakeholder environment and translate between CoV codes, standards, systems, and practices and the Company Management System.
Compliance with:

* Kazakhstan Statutory Health, Safety & Environmental Laws/Regulations.
* The Corporate Health, Safety & Environment Policy, and Safety Management Systems.

Undergo the necessary HSE trainings for access to the Onshore and Offshore areas.

Qualification & Experience Requirements:
* Bachelor Degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering (or equivalent0.
* Minimum of 8 years of experience Heavy Construction, Port Construction and Marine Engineering.
* Experience in front end engineering, detailed design and construction.
* Prior experience in major complex project is beneficial.

Required Competences:
* Good technical, communicational and working skills.
* Proactive approach to decision making and team works.
* Proven organizational ability in a multi-interface and technically demanding project.
* Ability to work with and coach local staff.
* Knowledge of and commitment to safety in the workplace and environmental responsibility.
* Proficient with all engineering site paperwork, reporting, quality documentation.
* Able to manage the section of works and staff to a tight schedule and specification.
* Strong dredging design background and capacity for onsite interpretive analysis be able to assist and advise the design team with site-specific design issues.
* Able to maintain good working relationship with Engineering Team, Construction Team and contractors' rep-resentatives.
* Able to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
* Ability to monitor the project construction team's performance against approved design.
* A strong knowledge of codes and guidelines in dredging as well as spoil disposal regulations.
* Knowledge of environmental issues surrounding dredging in deep/shallow water to include the disposal of spoil.
* Knowledge surrounding the fluid mechanics of dredging as well as knowledge in the types of dredgers com-mon in the industry
* Able to monitor the project dredging contractor performance against specific expectations, interpret results and offer required, timely solutions.
* Siltation, harbor dredging and estuary dredging maintenance knowledge.
* Ability to coordinate the implementation of the constructability review program during the design and construc-tion phases of the project.
* Ability to advice on the preparation and implementation of the project dredging quality program.
