The Role:
Ensure support in the co-ordination of budgeting and cost control processes within New Developments Directorate.
 Maintain the assigned functions of the EP cost control system, SIGEP, i.e.:
o provide technical support to the respective cost control specialists during their daily operations,
o run regular system reports,
o maintain exchange rate sub module,
o maintain SIGEP Support mailbox,
o manage system line items,
o ensure technical support in the fund transfer through the trend system in the Cost Management and Trend Management modules,
o upload and maintain system raw data,
o analyze and report new requirements,
o maintain close liaison with the service provider specialists and
o Deal with various system maintenance ad hoc issues.
 Extract EP VOWD monthly data from SAP, analyze and convert the numbers into a special format and upload the respective data into SIGEP.
 Update cost report VOWD and forecast figures during the month closure period. Calculate the difference in exchange rates impact. Maintain the contingency pot.
 Support cost control team in the analysis of cost report VOWD, forecast, contingency and other data during the month closure period.
 Prepare assigned periodic cost control reports. Interact with New Developments Directorate Reporting team.
Support the dissemination of cost and forecast data to project level project control site teams.
 Provide specialist level support to cost engineers during their daily operations in SIGEP and SAP.
 Prepare, when required, supporting materials for cost control management meetings.
 Ensure that all assigned budget, cost and contract reports meet standards and best practices of the Directorate.
 Prepare and analyze trend logs.
 Assist senior project control specialists in the data analysis and participate in the preparation of presentation materials.
 Support the preparation of the annual work programme and budget. Prepare assigned Cost, Time and Resources (CTRs) forms or other budget documents by maintaining the interface with the relevant teams within the Directorate and participate in the preparation of support presentation materials.
 Support cost control records databases, in particular related to past operations, activities, trends, savings etc.
 Support the organization of training sessions and workshops for SIGEP users. Contribute to the preparation of the necessary meeting materials.
 Provide the necessary contribution to the regular update of cost control and budgeting procedures.
 Support contract management processes, when required.
 Assist, when required, project specialists in the development of cost estimates. Provide support, if required, in other project control activities.
 Work on assigned ad hoc tasks from the management. Participate, when required, in cost control task forces

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Diploma in Accounting / Finance, Business Administration, Technical Studies or a relevant area.
 3 years of working experience in Project Services, Project Controls, Accounting / Finance, Business Administration or Engineering.
 Experience in working directly or indirectly for a major oil and gas company.
Advanced degrees in above specified areas, engineering and/or closely related field.
 More than 3 years of experience in the relevant areas with a minimum 2 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified or an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above.
 2 or more years of experience in SAP, SIGEP and similar data management systems.
 More than 3 years of experience in working for major oil and Gas Company and/or a contractor providing services to one.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge of project controls theories and concepts.
 Ability to work with various set of cost control data related to the activities of a major oil and gas company.
 General knowledge of the financial processes and procedures, VOWD and forecast processes, budget preparation, monitoring and reporting, key cost control aspects and contract management concepts.
 Knowledge of SAP and SIGEP and/or similar data management software.
 Ability to prepare internal presentations on cost control subjects either individually or as part of a team.
 Ability to work in multinational environment.
