The Role:
CONTRACT ROLE - 4 ON, 4 OFF SHIFT PATTERN

Principle accountabilities
- Undertake planned and reactive maintenance work on TTS equipment in accordance with allocated target dates to maximise availability and meet agreed service levels.
- Continually improve TTS system performance by investigating faults or poor performing assets and recommend appropriate remedial action.
- Accurately capture maintenance history (work orders, spares information etc.) and update other records to meet business, regulatory & statutory requirements.
- Deliver small improvement projects to modify the TTS system.
- Operate safely at all times.
- Adhere to procedures and proactively spot hazards to reduce risk and ensure a safe working environment for all.
- Follow current environmental policies and identify opportunities to re-use, recycle or reduce waste and to minimise the environmental impact of maintenance activities.
- Coach or train others, including colleagues and apprentices to share learning and best practice amongst the team.
- Proactively upgrade skills to facilitate the maintenance and operation of new assets that are delivered into service.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- City and Guilds/ONC/HNC/NVQ level3 in appropriate Engineering discipline
- Relevant Rail or Guided Transportation experience
- Technician apprenticeship scheme or equivalent
- Full and assessed knowledge of any relevant regulations or standards
- Completion of relevant & related skills training
- Meets the requirements of the competence assessment process
