The Role:
HSEQ Manager - Chemicals / Waste to Energy / Recycling - North West based, National coverage, UK - Permanent position with holidays, pension, bonus, and additional benefits

A waste management leader are at an exciting time of executing their strategy towards industry leadership in the quality of their HSE & Quality - sounds strange doesn't… improving the quality of your quality team!?

Taking an innovative approach towards leadership and influence, this role will support SHEQ Leads and senior stakeholders for the improvement and development of key sites. This position is a blend of commercial, strategy, and technical disciplines - rubbing shoulders with national and local external agencies, as well rolling out initiatives across the business.

A newly created role, building for a better future of Health, Safety, Environment & Quality.

What will you be doing?

* Acting as the environmental expert for all matters on a regional and national level;
* Supporting SHEQ Leads for each sites individual requirements to fall in line with corporate and local compliance;
* Support the implementation and control of site condition monitoring;
* Work with regulatory bodies and manage site reporting to support their restrictions;
* Supporting the Chemical Exposure Monitoring Programmes (COSHH);
* Ensuring compliance with H&S legislation;
* Conducting audits for all areas of SHEQ;
* Reporting on key factors including Process Safety Performance Indicators;

What is required from you?

* Bachelor's degree in chemicals, chemistry etc.
* 3-5 years' experience in HSE, ready for the next step up;
* Thorough understanding of HSE legislation;
* Experience working on a chemical, waste, petrochemical, manufacturing or oil & gas production plant;

What would be added value?

* Further education - master's degree in relevant field;
* Additional training - COSHH etc;
* Thorough understanding of HSE legislation for top tier COMAH sites;
* Experience in waste recycling or waste management
