The Role:
Seeking an Electrical Drafter with experience working on commercial construction projects.
Must have experience in large commercial construction design industry designing large buildings and making additions to buildings and renovations as well. (Hospitals, Colleges, Office High Rise Buildings, Casino's, hotels, etc)

The primary purpose of the Electrical Designer performs technical activities on assigned projects under supervision of a licensed professional engineer, including participation in technical studies, investigations and designs on assigned projects. The Electrical Designer assists the project team in the production of projects that are on-time, within budget and ofthe utmost quality.

Principal Duties and Accountabilities:

* Designs and prepares drawings for electrical systems for building projects including conducting code review, lighting calculations, lighting and receptacle layout, one-line diagrams, etc., under the supervision of a licensed professional electrical engineer.

* Attends meetings with owners, clients, and/or architects as needed; Prepares and distributes meeting notes.

* Conducts site surveys to determine existing facility conditions or proposed conditions.

* Assists the design team in the coordination with other discipline including architectural, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, structural, civil, etc.

* Accompanies senior level staff/project manager in performing project job project job site visits during construction to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications, owner expectations, and building codes. Assists in preparing punch lists and project observations reports to note findings.

* Actively attends in-house and external training sessions to obtain knowledge in necessary technical areas.

* Participates in industry organizations and attends events, meetings, and activities.
