The Role:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent the Electrical RPE - HV Lead responsibility is to ensure effective electrical maintenance scheduling and close out of maintenance deliverables at the company's fields production facilities in Chad, Africa.

Detailed Description The position will alternate between 2 Field based in Chad Africa.
 Ensure that all Electrical routine, corrective and breakdown maintenance activity plans include appropriate Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Risk Assessment and precautionary measures in compliance with the company permit to work system and procedure; in order to minimize risk to personnel, the environment and company assets.
 Ensure all electrical maintenance activities provide for maximum availability of plant, equipment and machinery under the control of the company based CMMS (EAM) system, covering all planned, corrective and breakdown maintenance, including discipline resource management and materials requirements and availability.
 Provide desired services to operating departments at optimal levels in line with departmental planning strategies.
 Provide line management with reported statistical information on department efficiency (Electrical) and effectiveness of the maintenance strategy.
 Ensure compliance with all mandatory requirements in conjunction with the company defined maintenance strategy, regarding standard electrical plant and equipment inspection; including plant power generation, distribution and control systems, UPS power, ICCP systems, utility and domestic camp facilities.
 Ensure maintenance inter departmental interface in accordance with company operating standards and requirements. (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrument/ Controls).
 Ensure that agreed department resource development plans and personnel performance agreements (KPI's) are in place in conjunction with company training and human resources departments.
Ensure competency based training and succession programs are in place for department Chadian national staff in conjunction with the training and human resources department.
 Assist with adequate interfacing within department and functional support groups as outlined in operations reference and action plans.
 Participate in Emergency Management & Control as part of an Emergency Response Team

Duties
 Assist the Maintenance Superintendent with periodic review in the development of procedures for establishing factored maintenance objectives.
 In conjunction with the field Maintenance Supervisor/Planner assist in defining bridging procedures across functions and planning of maintenance activities, major events, campaign maintenance and scheduled shutdown turnarounds.
 In conjunction with the field Maintenance Supervisor/Planner, direct maintenance discipline teams (Electrical) in the planning of maintenance activities, major events, campaign maintenance and scheduled shutdown turnaround activities in conjunction with QA Department plant inspection services and production operations.
 Provide weekly updates on electrical maintenance highlights to the Maintenance Supervisor/Planner for input into company reporting systems.
 Provide on a monthly basis; input into the operations reference plan regarding projected events and major field activities.
 Train and mentor Chadian Nationals on all electrical equipment through the companies CA&A program.
 Maintain active department involvement, interface and demonstrated commitment to all company HSE related initiatives and planned activities.
 Perform scheduled hands-on maintenance services with National staff.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience in multi discipline/multi-national maintenance management (Electrical), on onshore upstream hydrocarbon oil & gas processing plant and facilities in a remote environment.
 Hold an Ex (or equivalent) Certificate.
 Has experience of Ex databases or ATEX lists of compliance.
 Knowledgeable in HV, MV and LV switching procedures.
 Experience in working in a functional environment (shared services or matrix organization).
 Experience in working with and managing contracted service providers.
 Experience in interfacing with major original equipment manufacturer and vendor service providers.
 Experience in interfacing with project management teams.
 Experience in Emergency Management & Control as part of an Emergency Response Team.
 Minimum 5 years' experience on HV & LV Switchgear/Transformers, UPS & Batteries, Power Generation, Lighting & Small Power.
