- Location: Vietnam (Thanh Hoa, refinery site)
- Division: Maintenance
- Reporting to: Instrument Leader
- Contract Duration: 2 years (40 hours per week work schedule)
- Mob/demob economy flights + 2 annual return flights, free accommodation and transport to/from work are provided my the client

Purpose:
The Instrument Advisor is responsible to assist Instrument Leader to manage instrument maintenance activities to meet the maintenance plan of Maintenance Division in accordance with established operating procedures.

Responsibility:
Instrument Advisor in Reliability Engineering Section is responsible to provide support services on Instrument equipment to the Maintenance Division and to supervise.
- Provide technical guidance for reliability & maintenance data by assessing data history for accuracy and compliance with reliability best practices.
- Provide technical guidance for less experience person how to do trouble shooting for control system and filed instrument equipment.
- Provide technical support to conduct investigate the root cause for the incident of instrumentation equipment. Make recommendations and report to leader how to repair/how to solve the problem.
- Assist to establish and monitor programs for critical equipment analysis and condition monitoring.
- Assist instrument team to monitor and evaluate the plant control systems for anomalies and deficiencies, and make recommendations to repair or upgrade as needed.
- Assist instrument team to evaluate plant and equipment unscheduled downtime proportions. Identify reliability improvement opportunities.
- Assist instrument leader to select, coordinate and supervise maintenance contractors for additional support service when required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Min. 10 years working in instrument and automation system
A bachelor's degree in Automation / Electronic or equivalent
Knowledgeable with the industrial standards and code requirements for control systems and field instrument equipment: ISA, IEC, API, ISO
Knowledgeable with the application of variable type of control systems such as Distributed Control System (DCS); Emergency Shutdown System (ESD); Fire and Gas System (FGS); Machine Monitoring System (Manufacturer: Bently Nevada; Bruel & Kjaer Vibro), Compressor Control System (Manufacturer: CCC), steam turbine speed control/protection system (Manufacturer: CCC; Woodward), Gas turbine control/protection system (Manufacturer: GE) and Package Unit Control System (Manufacturer: Allen Bradley, Siemens).
Experience in maintaining field instrumentation and control system in petrochemical plant, power plant or oil & gas plant.
