The Role:
Residential role based at the refinery site in Thanh Hoa Province, North of Vietnam

Position: Instrument Advisor
Division: Maintenance / Reliability Engineering
Reports to: Deputy Section Manager of Reliability Engineering

The advisor requires specialized skills in the industrial standards and code requirements for process control systems, especially Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD), Fired Equipment & Boiler Management Systems (BMS), Compressor Control Systems (CCS) and Equipment Vibration Monitoring Systems (VMS). Have field experience in designing and applying advance process control for industrial facilities. Capable to effectively review project documentation, drawings, equipment specifications and testing procedures.

Responsibilities:

1) Responsible to provide support services to Maintenance Division and to advice the less experienced engineer in the divisions.
2) Provide support technical guidance for reliability & maintenance data by assessing data history for accuracy and compliance with reliability best practices.
3) Assist to establish and monitor programs for critical equipment analysis and condition monitoring.
4) Assist to monitor and evaluate the plant control systems for anomalies and deficiencies, and make recommendations to repair or upgrade as needed.
5) Assist to select, coordinate and supervise maintenance contractors for additional support activities when required.
6) Coordinate closely with counterpart in-house organization (production engineers and planners, design engineers, etc.)
7) Assist to evaluate plant and equipment unscheduled downtime proportions. Identify reliability improvement opportunities.
8) Advise to promote and sustain reliability and maintenance program integration.
9) Promote reliability best practices integration to plant operations.
10) Assist to develop proactive RCM and FMECA analysis for critical equipment.
11) Advice failure investigation for critical equipment, generate reports, actions logs and follow-up in their closure.
12) Guide, direct and motivate the less experienced engineers and operators including setting education and training and assessing their performance in association with their superior and the Human Resources Section.
13) Assist group member for operating and utilizing CMMS.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience required minimum 10 years in relevant section of Refinery with prior experience in industrial control systems, and engaged in actual field operation for 2 year which includes not only routine operation but also trouble-shooting, trial operation, preparation for daily and turnaround maintenance.
