The Role:
Fircroft is looking for Energy Expert Candidate who can work with our Major Petrochemical Manufacturers company in Eastern Region, Jubail Industrial City, Saudi Arabia.

Title: Energy Expert
Job Location: Jubail Industrial City, Saudi Arabia
Reporting to: Director Energy and Sustainability

Purpose of role
Improve Clients Energy and Sustainability performance. The Energy Expert drives the Energy Efficiency / Sustainability work processes and implements these. The Energy Expert organizes assessments at the SABIC sites/affiliates and uses and improves the available tools for such assessments. The Energy Expert defines KPI improvement projects for Energy, GHG, Water and Material Effectiveness globally and helps all sites to accomplish significant cost savings and environmental improvements. The Energy Expert is an advisor for Energy and Sustainability related resolutions globally and facilitates improvement.

* Participate in the development and periodic update of procedures and work processes for Manufacturing Sustainability and Energy Management.
* Lead and facilitate Energy and Sustainability global networks.
* Maintain, improve and communicate MCE E&S management best practices.
* Maintain, improve and communicate the MCE E&S opportunity checklist.
* Provide training for all sites/affiliates in the use of MCE E&S management best practices.
* Stimulate exchange of best or good practices, from internal and external SABIC sources.
* Provide training for all sites/affiliates in using the MCE E&S opportunity checklist.
* Schedule, prepare, lead and complete site/affiliate opportunity assessments.
* Report outcome of opportunity assessments in such a way that it will ease up the filling of the KPI list for the separate sites or affiliates.
* Support sites in developing the business case to help justify Energy and Sustainability related projects.
* Advisor for resolution of technical energy / sustainability issues.
* Assist regional Energy leads in developing, updating and delivering training and periodic refresher training for footprint methodologies to all the affiliate / site teams.
* Analyze Management Best Practices and reports insights / highlights for management action.
* As part of the MCE E&S team assist or lead the development of global procedures and integrate into a Sustainability management process.
* Provide clarifications and interpretation of sustainability protocols and guidelines. Clarify, resolve and document any inconsistencies across sites/poles to maintain consistent guidelines globally.

* Develop / update energy and sustainability improvement training content.
* Provide energy and sustainability improvement training for site sustainability teams globally.
* Conduct annual refresher of opportunity assessment tool and training for the site improvement teams.
* Conduct Sustainability Opportunity Assessments for sites/affiliates.
* Establish training program, educate and coach site/affiliate energy/sustainability experts.
* Develop and maintain global expert networks.
* Global work field of different regions and departments, such as Manufacturing, Area Manufacturing, Technology & Innovation and Corporate Sustainability Department.

Education and Training
* Engineering Degree, preferably Chemical Engineering. MBA is a plus.
* Professional training / development in GHG protocol, energy efficiency, ISO- 14064, ISO-50001, GRI, Energy management, etc.
* Awareness of the global and most relevant regional regulations and compliance requirements related to energy, greenhouse gases and material waste.
* PMP, Six Sigma or Energy Manager Certification preferred.

* At least 10-15 years professional process engineering experience in Manufacturing of Chemical / Petrochemical / Utilities Operations. Preferable different types of plants, such as; Olefins, Polymers, Fertilizers, Utilities etc.
* Operational experience and expertise.
* Experience and expertise in a leading role in project engineering / management
* Knowledge/expertise in energy best practices such as Pinch, Optimizing, Energy Monitoring.
* Experience in applying process simulation and optimization software.
* Expertise in GHG Protocol, policies for Energy Management.
* Knowledge of various reporting standards and protocols (GHG reporting, Responsible Care, Sustainability Reporting, Carbon Trading, LCA, etc.).

* Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with Global, diversified team.
* Strong analytical and organizational skills.
* Strong Communication skills (written, oral).
* Public speaking / presentation skills.
* Fluent in written / spoken English.
* Strong drive for continuous improvement and self-development.
