The Role:
To provide, Financial Planning, Analysis and Controlling to support business needs and requirements.

* Full financial and management accounting activities of small entities services within the shared service separtment
* Accuracy and Validity of Financial Information in SAP - Ensure all sub-ledgers are up-to-date and accurate, ensure all accounting information in complete and accurate Managing the month end process including other team members to achieve the month end close on time and on quality. Perform key month end Balance sheet Reconciliation to ensure all is accurate.
* Provide a Key Support Mechanism and advise on financial input and budgetary planning process for the relevant Line of business reporting to the Head of department
* Provide a professional service to all customers within the shared service responsibility.
* Project Management in the relevant areas to provide accurate information to base claims and revenue recognition that is audit compliant.
* Perform month end close process in SAP, ensuring timely information is available.
* Reporting monthly results in the internal reporting tool FACTS for all entities within responsibility on time and on quality.
* Process Improvement - help to ensure all processes held within the domain of the financial accounting department are maintained and internal controls are effective to minimise the risks of fraud or error.
* Coordination, preparation, analysis and reporting of Monthly Management Accounts for assigned Business Areas, delivered in a timely and accurate manner to Central Controlling.
* Management accounting data is analysed and reported, highlighting any business and financial risks and opportunities, providing key data to ensure business goals are achieved.
* ERM responsibilities for GL and Controlling activities of entities within the departments scope - ensure compliance and ongoing controls to enhance compliance.
* Manage audits of public bodies and annual external audits of the financial statements for all entities within the area of responsibility.
* Work continuously with other shared service functions and entities to ensure optimised working capital management of all entities with the area of responsibility.
* Controlling initiatives and new information requirements are supported
* Improvement of internal controls and risk management.
* Ensuring that both existing and new systems implementations are supported and optimised to improve information management
* Financial acumen and understanding is improved across all functional areas of responsibility of the organisation.

Key performance measures for which the candidate will have full + direct responsibility:
* Month end routine is performed to tight deadlines
* Asset Legers reconciliation and control with assistance from the team
* Analysis, presentation and reporting of Financial data for Assigned Business Areas including detailed cost base analysis, and delivery of targets
* System & Sub-Processes are adhered to minimising error and fraud
* Balance Sheet reconciliations contain minimal reconciling differences that are cleared in a timely manor
* FACTS reporting executed on time and on quality
* Delivery and analysis of Business Plans, support and preparation of SLA financial data
* Coordination, reporting and reconciliation of Intercompany AR/ AP Ledgers.
* Coordination and reporting of Mgt Accountants for Assigned Business Areas.
* Coordination and completion of the statutory financial statements of defines entities

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Qualified/part qualified Accountant - Academic plus any additional education: Honours Degree or Equivalent
* Broad Working knowledge of business systems and processes of multinational businesses..
* Preferably ACCA, ACMA (CIMA) or ACA
* Detailed experience of Management Accounting and Financial Accounting
* Experience of supporting and analysing business decision making
* Microsoft Office - Particularly Excel & Word, Essential
* Ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines whilst maintaining high quality of output
* Knowledge and experience in SAP or equivalent financial reporting tools.
* Experience of Managing a team or group of people/departments through projects.
