The Role:
The EEE Centre (Electrical, Electronic, Electro-Mechanical), is looking for an EEE Parts/Component Engineer or EEE Quality Engineer to work as a Supply Chain Engineer managing the procurement of hi-rel (high reliability) EEE (Electrical, Electronic, Electro-mechanical) components in accordance with Military & ESCC Specifications for space applications. The Supply Chain Engineer has operational responsibility for the procurement of EEE (Electrical, Electronic, Electro-mechanical) components from purchase request up to release to stock, for allocated suppliers / products.
Responsibilities include:
* Manage EEE req release process from user release to purchase order preparation, including supplier selection
* Manage overall purchase order life cycle for designated suppliers, including order approval
* Follow up operationally the suppliers, implement recovery plan if necessary, manage the deliveries and acceptance of incoming inspection
* Utilise knowledge of the Hi-Rel EEE supplier base to negotiate price, lead-time, terms & conditions, etc., with EEE component suppliers for the benefit of projects.
* Manage the issue and assessment of suitable RFQs for EEE components.
* Status and exception reporting regarding procurement activities

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Higher vocational qualifications in one of Electronics/Physics/Engineering/Business or similar
* Excellent interpersonal skills: Communication - written and verbal, team working, professional behaviour, negotiation.
* Highly productive approach: Proactive behaviour, Self-motivation, Flexibility, highly reactive to priorities.
* Skilled user of business systems and processes, e.g. Materials Requirements Planning, Parts Data Management.
* Strong IT Competency - Microsoft Office, as a minimum.
* Experience within an electronics industry environment, working within a Procurement, Supply Management, Quality or Engineering function.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Degree in EEE (Electrical, Electronic, Electro-mechanical) Components Engineering related subject (electronic engineering, physics, or similar).
* Experience as EEE Supply Manager, EEE Components Engineer or EEE Procurement Engineer in European/US Space industry.
* Previous experience of EEE Components Engineering, preferably in space or other high-reliability applications.
* Understanding of US Military and/or European ESCC procurement specifications systems.
* Awareness of EEE Quality requirements (preferably for space application).
* Experience with SAP or other MRP system.
* Awareness of Product Assurance requirements.
