Fleet Manager- PNG - Heavy Machinery Distribution

The Company:
Our client is based in PNG and is experiencing rapid growth and seek to engage a Fleet Manager to take its Construction business to the next level.
We are looking for someone that has the ability to distribute significant fleets of heavy machinery to remote parts of PNG.

Some of the machinery include:
* Civil Earthmoving Machinery
* Mining Equipment
* Crushing Equipment
* Road Transport Equipment
* Various Service/Operations support and ancillary equipment.

The Role:
* Support Project Management teams through the provision of fleet management services.
* Maximize production at all construction sites through efficient fleet maintenance and support.
* Mobilize fleets of heavy machinery to remote site locations within the shortest possible timeframes to exceed client needs.
* Ensure that fleets exceed client specifications for each site with a particular emphasis on safety features.
* Enhance the Company's safety culture and Life Saving Rules by ensuring the fleet is safely operable at all times
* Improve technical knowledge for all maintenance and service personnel through co-ordination of training programs.
* Develop and maintain existing software systems that track and record all maintenance, locations, engine hours and availability.
* Develop and implement a fleet Safety Management Plan;
* Create fleet expense and capital budgets, to submit for approval to management. Track performance versus forecast on a monthly basis.
* Track supplier performance, and train drivers in using the programs.

Roster & inclusions:
FIFO 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off from East Coast Australia (would consider family live in role).
Accommodation, laundry, vehicle, computer, phone & meals are provided.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Relevant qualifications - Transport, Earthmoving Plant or Heavy Machinery
* Tertiary Education certificate in a related field
* An in depth understanding of plant selection related to transport, haulage and earthworks plant
* Strong people management and leadership skills
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Financial management experience related to heavy machinery
* Experience using software specific to fleet management
* Microsoft Office knowledge
