The Role:
To produce technical CAD drawings for various professional disciplines.
To carry out surveys (including measured surveys) To provide public utility drawings for projects (from web based interactive programmes) and inform the necessary companies as to the proposed works.


* Management of own time and provide Principal Engineer with feedback to enable them to assess workload.

* Ensure that all duties are executed along sound business lines to ensure competitive costs.

* Carry out surveys.

* Manage all activities to ensure compliance with approved budgets and general compliance with the Council standing orders and financial regulations.

* Prepare / update CAD drawings, either from survey information or direction by others.

* Monitor the time, cost and quality of work undertaken.

* Keep up to date with the use of CAD and relevant software by participating in training opportunities and assimilating information from technical and professional journals.

* Be aware of changes in relevant information technology.

* Maintain project and section records as required.

* Update Contaminated Land records as required.

* Public Utilities - inform companies of planned works, if information is taken from in-house system, or if no information is available, write to the companies asking for it and inform them of works to be carried out.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Expert CAD User - Packages used at BBC 2016
Engineering Background - a familiarity within Highways especially would be desirable
