The Role:
The Senior IT Project Manager reports into the IT Project Management team, this position provides overall leadership for the delivery ITS projects and works closely with business and technical leadership, serving as a facilitator and leader, in driving the quality delivery of projects. This senior position will manage global project teams of highly effective resources to implement ITS projects. This role will require managing multiple resources and interfacing at all levels of the organization. The Senior IT Project Manager is accountable for the successful delivery of ITS projects, within the expected quality, budget, timeline and scope.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Responsible for estimates of all phases of project implementation
* Support budget management including reporting and forecasting
* Actively participate in project scoping and planning activities and ensure alignment between all parties
* Participate on Project steering teams to ensure successful delivery
* Liaises with other ITS functions and leadership to ensure the effective and efficient project delivery
* Responsible for the management of external vendors in terms of SOW and engagement requirements, ensuring all vendor management quality expectations are met or exceeded.
* Contributes to the development and maintenance of Project Management processes, procedures, policies, tools and methodologies`
* Participates in recruiting, interviewing and selecting well-qualified external Project Managers (PM) to cover variable capacity
* Supports on-boarding of resources and coaches and mentors project team members
* Responsible that all the actions from post implementation reviews are properly implemented and applied to new projects and programs
* Responsible for confirming project readiness before starting a new initiative and prior to moving to the next project phase
* Ensures capacity needed for successful delivery of projects and programs
* Participates in the project review meetings and provide independent assessment on the projects overall health and status
* Provides broad IT and project knowledge
* Provides leadership on projects that have significant issues and provide active support when needed
* Supports the PMO office in ensuring that projects are being reported on accurately.
* Drives accuracy in project financial reporting, schedule, resourcing and forecasting
* Consults with stakeholders and implements best practices across large complex projects which require multiple resource teams
* Ensures that project management and development lifecycle process is followed and makes improvements.
* Drives standardization and proactively recommends improvements

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Education
* Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field or 5-7 years of equivalent experience. MBA or MS a plus

Experience
* 15 plus years of IT and business/industry related experience with large, global organizations. A minimum of 8 years in a project management role, managing medium to large global teams.
* Five plus years of leadership responsibility managing medium to large projects/teams and influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders
* Experience working on SAP, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Financial or IT projects
* Certification from recognized authority preferred (e.g., project management professional [PMP] certification from the Project Management Institute [PMI]) for international projects or global rollouts, and experience in leading internationally distributed teams

* Ability to analyse, understand and effectively communicate between business requirements and technical design and implementation
* Budget planning and management from small to large global complex projects
* Problem-solving, negotiation and decision-making skills to influence management, as well as internal and external partners
* Demonstrated leadership abilities; effective in matrix management and team building
* Works well with others in an integrated team environment
* Self-motivated and a problem solver
* Experienced in facilitation and negotiating
